I mean sure I've been to australia and I was working in fields in 40 degrees so high-20s is nothing relatively speaking but houses in australia all had airconditioning, buildings in the UK generally don't outside of office blocks and it's not like I can just dunk my hat in a cow trough like I did when I needed to cool off there

As the ambient humidity increases the evaporation action slows down. So while like 100 degress fahrenheit is hotter than 80 degrees, if the 100 degree weather has 0 humidity and the 80 degree weather has 60% humidity the 80 is going to feel way worse.

edit: we hit high humidity too but it's only when the temperature is at the 30s, it goes up to like 40% and 50% humidity, that's during 30s though so it's not worth showing
