Can you lock people with less than 50 posts out of the ideas subforum? It might stop stupid ideas that have been shot down 20 times being reposted every other week.

If the entire front page changed to a completely different layout, assuming it isn't bad, I wouldn't complain. I just think the blue is too dark. Also the navbar is rounded for some reason.

I was thinking about asking a few things telescience and leporizane, and I wouldn't feel justified about just throwing pointless junk in general discussion.
I propose that we add a subforum, (one for /tg/ code and one for /nt/ code respectively), just for quick, and fast Q&A.

EDIT: I realize my hypocrisy moments after I post this thread; could an admin merge this with the 'Site ideas' thread?

To be honest I'm doubtful a Q&A board would see enough traffic to warrant it being necessary over just a Q&A thread.

Q&A threads may seem good, but its a pain in the ass searching through a 10 page topic in the hopes of finding an answer to your random question. So you tend to get duplicate questions and such. Honestly i think having a dedicated Q&A subforum would be great. Maybe also add another subforum for players to make guides and get feedback before adding them to the wiki.

Took me far too long again to realize there was this discussion going on. Could it be made possible that every poll opened would send a private message to everyone, just announcing that there's a poll going on? They're usually connected in some big thing and right now the polls are at least a little skewed because it's not easy for the not-so-regular forum reader to find these polls.

Also, right now there are these polls going on:
"Config Poll: Enforce Human Authority" in General Discussion.
"[POLL]Should the Assistant role have reduced Antag status?" in Ideas.
"Should large Syndicate bombs be restricted to nuke ops?" in Feedback.
All of these threads have a poll in them and one of them has already been accepted as an official change to the code!

I don't know if some of these are in the wrong sections of the forums, but the main thing is: it's too damn hard to casually skim around the forum for important discussions and affect the game's evolution, other than to look at active topics and look through every thread hoping there's an important poll in them waiting for player feedback.

I've made history and created what is apparently the first phpbb prosilver style poll thread icons on the internet (as far as I could tell). Hopefully they'll be in use soon.

please change the character requirement from 2 to 3 - you can say "yes" in one post but not "no" and theres not really a good reason for that

Could we get a actual archive of the original forum please the last one vanished quite a while ago now and it really is a part of tg SS13 history and a lot of concepts good and bad are on there that can be referenced.

I know TLE has a version of it still but there are legal reasons as to why it isnt here yet. Just would like something to be mentioned as to its current status

Can we get a subforum for player-made guides? So that people can make guides and get some actual feedback on them before thinking about adding them to the wiki. Maybe the wiki would start getting more updates. A forum for general questions regarding in-game mechanics would be nice too.

You can mark entire forums and subforums as read.

At the top level you can mark everything as read

Would it be possible to move the poll after the first post, but before the replies? So polls would encourage people to read the first post more, and every poll shouldn't have to remind people about it.

They run as a special search, this uses the search backend, and that has odd ass checks for things like a global max searches per hour, max 15 minute avg cpu load, etc.

I laxed up the conditions but no idea if that fixed it.
