It's already 2019 in some parts of the world, so time for a new /pol/ thread!

Interesting start to the year:
-UK is leaving the EU... maybe, it's been handled in a way that's such a shambles it's hard to say what will happen. Either we leave with a deal that makes us ultimately worse off and pleases no one on either, or we leave with no deal and join the rest of the world, or we just forget the whole thing ever happened.
-The French government on the other hand has managed to unite all of it's peoples. People on all sides of the political spectrum now march hand in hand in union to demonstrate their hatred of the government by setting fire to Paris every night.
-The EU's eastern bloc is starting their own rebellion, notably with Poland and the Hungary telling the EU fuck off and that they won't take in any economic migrants, mostly of male fighting age, rapefugees.

Speaking of Muslims, yesterday a Syrian 'asylum' seeker was arrested in Germany for plotting a terror attack - so that's one less truck of peace for them tonight, but how many more still to come?
And just before Christmas, four muslims in Morocco decided to demonstrate their devotion to the pagan moon god of death by hacking the heads off two Scandinavian women who were backpacking there. Ironically a few years before her trip, the Norwegian woman had shared a video and message about being tolerant to Islam.

Three people, including a police officer, have been injured in a stabbing incident at a tram stop in Manchester, England on New Year’s Eve. The station is closed for a police investigation. The suspect has been arrested.
The incident took place around 9 pm local time, according to reporters at the scene. British Transport Police of Greater Manchester confirmed only that a male suspect is under arrest.
The perpetrator is in custody on “suspicions of attempted murder,” police said. The investigation, however, would be led by the counter-terrorism division, since the motive of the suspect is still not clear.
“While we don’t yet know the full circumstances and are keeping an open mind, officers from Counter Terrorism Policing North West are leading on the investigation,” Assistant Chief Constable Rob Potts said.

One of the witnesses, BBC producer Sam Clack, spoke of an attacker using a “long kitchen knife.”
The suspect yelled “Allah,” Clack told the Manchester Evening News, and said, “As long as you keep bombing other countries this sort of s**t is going to keep happening” as he was being subdued by police.
Clack said it took “six or seven” officers to wrestle the attacker down, using a Taser and pepper spray.

The victims were identified as a man and a woman in their 50s. The woman was injured in the face and the man suffered wounds to his abdomen, police said in a statement, noting that the injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

A police officer was also “receiving treatment for a stab wound to the shoulder,” the BTP said. All three were in “very serious condition,” according to local media.

"Motive unclear" is how they try to skew the statistics, since 'racists' are using statistics to show that some religions are just more violent and incompatible with functional civilisation

The vast majority of the world is racist. Anti-racism is mostly a recent Western thing, or even just an American thing, since most South and East European countries are still pretty racist to this day

I didn't say exclusively but it definitely feels like it was born in the Anglophone world and it's spreading from there. Racism towards certain ethnicities is still widespread and natural in the rest of the world, probably due to the fact that Africans (for example) are almost always seen as menial workers, beggars or criminals, so there's usually a mixture of class discrimination and racism that prevents them from being seen as "equals". Main exceptions are former colonial powers like France/Britain where Africans have been present for centuries and were absorbed in the population, so it's normal to see African doctors, policemen and so on. This is not the case for the rest of Europe

Actually I've never seen an African doctor or police man, I've seen a fair few Indian doctors but never police, plenty of Pakistani lawyers specialising in immigration law though.

And every bin man I've seen has been a white man, never a man or woman of ethnic origins

Also Africans have only been here in number since the 1950s

Black men over here are either bin men or fruit pickers, very rarely you'll see them as waiters or doorkeepers for fancy clothing stores, mostly in the big cities. Black women are only seen on public transportation carrying their children.
We've been colonized and subverted by anglophile culture to the point that we do whatever America tells us is the latest fad, and anti-racism is just part of it. Now with Trump the trend is going the opposite way, so we're going back to our natural state of racism.

So correct me if I'm wrong, this is what is gonna happen: they're gonna ask for a 1-year delay on brexit, in this time there will be new elections/new referendum which will officially cancel brexit. EU parliament is also gonna have elections and far-right, eurosceptic parties are expected to win, so they can always say "See the EU is different now, they want to make reforms, we don't have to leave"

If this is really the plan, they're fucking insane. EU should just cut them loose, reject any request of a delay. They don't want a deal? So be it
