[Elyina/Kangtut] Bloofy - Jobbanned from all Head Jobs for uploading A.I laws that harmed the round.

Ban reason and length: "Uploaded a horrible set of laws without good cause that got several innocent crewmembers killed and cause irreparable damage to the round." Ban is for 1440 minutes.

Your side of the story: I would chalk up my actions to being ICly related, my character saw how dirty the station was becoming, and as a result wanted to make it so the A.I would stop people from littering. As a result he uploaded somewhat vague laws that ended up with the A.I not only killing him, but apparently several other crewmembers.
Why you think you should be unbanned: Elyina gave me no actual reasoning for both my jobban and actual ban besides quoting 'rule 1' at me, in spite of not accurately showing me what precedent of rule 1 in specific I had broken. What I did I don't think can be considered griefing, at the very least not intentional griefing. And any murdering would have been done by the A.I at the A.I's own discretion.

The first two laws you uploaded were "littering damages the station" and "bleeding damages the station". You then uploaded Protectstation, causing the AI to go on more or less a rampage and kill several people. Uploading Protectstation on its own is allowed as long as the crew is informed about it beforehand, but those two additional laws make it very difficult for me to see your actions as good faith. When you upload laws to the AI, you are responsible for deaths caused for the most part. I explained quite clearly to you what you had done wrong and it's also detailed in the ban reason.
The command ban was placed because I believe you lack the responsibility and mindset for these roles at the time being. The job ban is for one week. The server ban was changed to 3 days up from 1 after I was informed by a headmin that I did not follow the correct procedure (24 hours ban for each invalid death I was able to confirm). Based on a couple of rather nasty notes you had prior to this I am going to stand by the ban. I welcome others to give input on this.

So what you're saying is every time the A.I kills someone for any reason with regards to any law the Captain uploads the Captain is now going to be banned?
This is obviously an IC issue, any other time you would just say 'rule 10, get on with it'.

It varies depending on the circumstance, but this is not considered an IC issue due to just how egregious the laws you uploaded were and the impact they had on the round.

I think egregious is going a big too far.
Vague might be the correct word, and I accept that I might have made it too vague.
But at the end of the day I do not feel it right to be jobbanned for this.

Elyina put it perfectly correct.

If you upload laws to an AI, especially laws that cause people to not only become non-human but a threat to the station which must be neutralized, you are going to be liable for the damage the AI does in fulfilling its laws.

The fact that your justification for this was "the station is dirty thus I'm going to turn the silicons into murderbots" is extremely tenuous and frankly is a violation of Rule 1 precedent:

Random murders are not acceptable nor is the killing of other players for poor or little reasoning such as ‘My character is insane’. Each unjustified kill is normally met with one 24 ban.

As such, I'm agreeing with elyina and denying this appeal.
