Server performance is a big issue right now.

What can we do about it?

People report suffering all sorts of lag, freezing, crashing and awful connection daily, and it seems like nobody is working on making it better.

I have to manually reconnect after most rounds at this point, and I just resort to restarting my client to hopefully get it to run a little better each round.

Ping spikes, ignored clicks, it's really just a shit show at this point.

What do?

Oh also it would be good, if you're having hangs and crashes that you

A) report your byond client version

B) describe what you were doing at the time, if there was any repeated patterns to crashes etc.

C) your ping at the time of the performance issues

Might be worth having a server notice to this effect, because as a player all i'm seeing is frustration.

I keep having to restart byond constantly as well, it pisses me off so much because I haven't had this issue before.

It’s less the server and more that byond is well.... a byond shit client. Especially considering we’re using the beta version as well.

to fix this downgrade to 512.1416 otherwise enjoy ventcrawling rapid crashing client hell.

It's more that the server is crashing when the round goes past 45 minutes pretty consistently. Feels like every 1 out of 3 rounds ends in a server crash.
