Wizard Objectives
After several consecutive and painfully boring Wizard rounds where the Wizards focused solely on their single objective, which usually consisted of them killing a very easy to find target and escaping on a pod, many people have proposed that Wizards be given a lot more objective's to do.
Right now a Wizard is treated very similarly to a Traitor, you get one main objective and you have to escape, and considering the fact that a Wizard is extremely powerful most of these objectives are trivial to complete. As such giving Wiz's more objective means they have to work harder to get their greentext and forces them to act more overtly instead of wasting 30 minutes hiding in space then 5 more minutes hiding near a escape pod.
My proposal is simple, a Wizard will have about five (5) objectives, including their escape alive objective. Their objectives will range from the usual stuff they would usually get,
Thanks.

Re: Wizard Objectives
do wizards get escape alone? i dont know that ive ever seen them have it. if not, they should. theyre made for murderbonering and causing chaos anyway.

Re: Wizard Objectives
Its random, they are more likely to get the standard "escape alive on a pod/ship" objective than the objective to hijack the shuttle.miggles wrote:do wizards get escape alone? i dont know that ive ever seen them have it. if not, they should. theyre made for murderbonering and causing chaos anyway.

Re: Wizard Objectives
One of the wizards (Though in my case, it was a bit of "Fuck fighting seventy people", to be honest. And being in a bit of a troll mood, hence the "Nope, not fighting) you're talking about here. I support this, though I personally feel that a round end tracking of greentext (For all antagonist types, clumped together not individually) and giving HARDER and MORE objectives to those who get 'enough' greentext would be good.
It would mean that Newbies only get 'kill X Guy, escape on shuttle or pod' while a experienced Traitor Changeling Nuke-Op Wizard would get objectives to Kill three people, debrain two, Steal the Nuke disk,Steal the AI and escape alone on the shuttle.
Not litterally that many of course, but I think my point should be clear.
Naturally, failing objectives can bump you 'down'.

Re: Wizard Objectives
debrain shouldnt be an objective because it forces the wizard to either pick ei nath or spend like 5 minutes debraining 2 people
and i dont think we should encourage more people to get the already popular instagib spell

Re: Wizard Objectives
I wasn't being literal, just naming objectives off the top of my head. And I meant that it could be potentially applied to other antagonist roles as well.

Re: Wizard Objectives
I always thought it funny that Wizards get one objective while changelings get like five, especially if they're a traitorling. More objectives for wizard, but please not escape alone constantly - the amount of senseless MM/Ei Nath or Hulk Laser Eyes genocide...

Re: Wizard Objectives
There should be a set of objectives for the Wizard that looks like this:
-Steal the captain's medal
-Steal the HoS hat
-Steal the CE magboots
-Steal the RD armor
-Acquire one piece of Ian meat

Re: Wizard Objectives
IMO the wizard's objectives should be more based around fucking with the crew in general then traitor objectives. wizard should be the asshole who goes around fucking with people in space with his space magic just because he can. Would make more interesting rounds past a wizard spamming summon guns/event 5 times.

Re: Wizard Objectives
Wizard in general needs a bigger get chance. I haven't seen a wizard round in weeks and haven't played as one in a couple of months.
To be robust is not about combat prowess, it is the state of readiness for the situation at hand.
