Your side of the story: Ispiria summed in the ban reason pretty well. This was my first time playing a Roboticist and I got to make like 3 medibots then SCI was blown up and I just started wondering around. The saying idle hands make the devil's plaything can't be truer. I got bored and started messing around in atmo. Yes, it was a super asshole thing to do, I can admit that. For the logging off without responding. My game had been randomly becoiming unrespnisve and that happend when i clicked your name, I didnt feel like loging back in since it was really late for me, I figured I would deal with it the next day. (Here I am) There also probably going to be a ban evasion attached because I really did not want to do this. Sorry.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I get the ban I just think that permanent is a little steep. I also really don't want to be Banned from TG station. So again I'm sorry.

Hi, I'm the admin that caught your ban evasion. We usually extend bans that you evade to a permanent ban or make the permaban unappealable for a long time. The fact that you lied when I confronted you about it was even worse. This was an "explain yourself on the forums" type ban. It was only permanent because you logged off, and the perma ban was only intended to force you to log onto the forums and explain why you did what you did. If you hadn't logged out, it wouldn't have been a very long ban if any at all.

So first of all, thank you for being polite and clear in your explanation! As BeeSting said, this was applied as a permanent because logging off when contacted by admins following such an obvious case of griefing kind of demands we bring you to the forums for an explanation.

What really stood out to me about this particular incident wasn't just that you plasma flooded as a non-antagonist, but that you did it with such precision and knowledge of the atmos system that you managed to get just enough plasma into the air to be flammable while not being visible to anyone playing around in it. The station had no idea that there was a plasma flood going on until the entire place had begun burning down. This sort of forethought, combined with your instant log-off when I contacted you and the fact that you're playing on a newer account, tipped me off that this couldn't have been an accidental moment of "did a whoopsie with atmos", which is something I may have been able to forgive.

I did a little digging around to see if I could link your account to any others but was unable to find anything - if BeeSting knows more about that than I do, I yield this to him, but in regards to this incident alone, your actions killed at least three people and negatively impacted the round of many others, since the damage from the flood was so severe that the station was forced to call the shuttle. That being said, unless BeeSting or any other admins have outstanding information against you that would see this ban hold, I'd be willing to reduce it to a weekban on the condition that you never do something like this again.

Following discussion with some of my fellow admins about this incident, I've changed my mind and decided to deny your appeal. Your immediate attempts to evade the ban, and lying about it when caught, compound very poorly with what earned you the ban in the first place. I no longer believe this to be a one-off episode of poor decision making and am going to let the ban stick.

Headmins or a full admin are free to overrule this if they decide to do so, but otherwise this thread can be closed.

Play on another server for a bit (couple of months sound good) and reappeal (preferably without evading inbetween now and then!) and ill probably unban you.
