I just feel bad for spending my family's money on education, I've done everything I can to minimize my expenses. I still just feel like a drain.

Never really talked to anyone about this.

After 7 months of stress, it actually ended up okay. I got accepted into my school's masters program. I did not expect this and I cannot believe that it happened. This is probably one of the happiest days in awhile.

Start writing short stories about each one you see. A who what where. I find it an entertaining way to pass the time I'm traffic flagging, although I use my headphone mic, since I'm not allowed to fiddle with my phone outside of time checks and skipping to the next song/podcast

Nothing like having a glass of whiskey while reflecting on this last year. Dad's cancer treatment doing fuck all but making him sick. Mom leaving the state and forgetting the entire family except me. My own issues with a girl I was dating. Things from the past I'm still unable to forget.

At least I'm still sober and have a great friend watching my back. I've gotten him to stop drinking alcohol except on the weekends, so that makes me feel pretty good.

Well my best friend of 13 years is on her way out. My dog's medical issues are piling up. Theres a new injury on one of her tumors and she's miserable. This is in addition to being an old blind diabetic. From a palliative standpoint, which I was forced to adopt when it came to my mom's final illness and death, all I can see is a suffering creature that I can no longer help. And would only be buying a little time if we could. All I can think is that its time. Comfort and peace are all we can offer.

i'd say confirmation bias since you're more likely to both notice and remember when somebody's acting out of the ordinary than when they're just acting the way you're used to

As an update with the dog. Yea so she ruptured her tumor further and she'll either bleed out or get infected. She's forced my hand and I will not let her suffer anymore. I handled both parents I can handle this.

Is it just me or has the flu been extremely terrible this year?

I'm just about over it but the flu basically incapacitated me by draining 90% of my energy and basically making me unable to eat food without it coming back up. My roomate also got infected just after I was done. This is probably the worst flu yet and I haven't gotten a flu shot in a few years nor have I gotten the flu in a few years.
