Your side of the story:HoS took my shotgun during a nukeop round,
I chase them down and try to get it back. I cuff them,look for the gun and then my shiet internet crashed.
Couldnt join back. Joined back later, was banned. I broke no rules, did not actually end up taking anything from the HoS
and never did brute damage, just tried to get the shotgun back.
I literally had another gun too but they bothered to just take that one.
Their IC reason was because " I said so. "

OK, so this is an example of an attitude generally associated with the gray tide that I fucking hate. The situation:

* The chef harasses me all round about joining security. As I have enough officers and as his behavior is generally unimpressive (drunk babbling, chasing me around), I repeatedly decline. "Because I said so" is an entirely reasonable response in this case, as the HoS has say over who gets to join security.
* Nuke ops show up, except they fucking suck and many get dunked. I think a miner said one of them might have been hiding amongst crew.
* The chef is trespassing in the brig with the bartender's shotgun (both illegal) talking about being militia now. As the ops seem dead so there's no need for general crew to be armed at this point, as there hasn't really been that much nuke op equipment among the crew that I'd seen to make confiscation useless, and (more to the point) that he's been a general shitter all round and not the type of person who should be running around with guns that aren't his, I taze him, confiscate the shotgun and as it isn't sawed-off, put it down disposals then go looking for where the ops came in.

Now, at this point, the chef has three responses, two of which would not have gotten him banned:

Reasonable response: Apologizing and/or going along with it because your entire round does not hinge on a shotgun that isn't yours and that you're really not supposed to have, and the round's fucking over in less than 10 minutes anyway.
Shitty, but understandable response: Saying "well fuck you too" or something similarly rude and then leaving well alone.
Shitty tiding response that actually happened: Chasing the HoS into maintenance, shooting him with a stun revolver (another thing you're not supposed to have), cuffing him, stealing his e-gun (the "I didn't take anything!" bit was a lie), and stripping him of all his shit in an oxygen-free area (I was well into "____ gasps!" so it's not like you didn't know) until they pass out. The only reason I survived was you were also too much of an idiot to equip internals (which I couldn't, being in handcuffs) and someone wandered into maint and found us.

So there you have my reasoning. Probably my least favorite form of gray-or-otherwise-tiding on this server is people acting like fucking crybabies when security actually does their job and tries to keep station order (as opposed to being ANTAG VALIDHUNTING SQUAD 2555, which everyone says they don't want but in practice whines endlessly when security deviates form), and then escalating massively by attacking, stealing from and otherwise disabling security. The fact that it happened in an ops round, where it's generally accepted to leave security and command alone, is the icing on the cake.

tl;dr: Stop being a tiding shit.

was a double barrel shotgun, the bartenders which is reasonable for a nukeop round, im not gonna let them dunk me while i has no gunz
was a stun shotgun i got from HOP, which he handed over, i didnt steal it.
You steal something from me, escalate a confrontation and you got upset that i took it to the next level.

attack the person, not the argument. Also, i had no malice in any way. I wanted the shotgun and i wanted to get out,
and i had done no harmful damage to you in the logs, using your egun and the shotgun i was given.
Anyhow, theres no rule i can see other than me " ruining the game " for someone when you ruined the game by stealing a gun during a nukeop round.
if anything, i should have one to kill them.
Oh and, you said " I SAID SO " after i asked why you stole my gun.

The HoS confiscating an illegal weapon isn't "stealing," it is literally their job. You didn't even get brigged for it.

That's cool, and tons of people have dealt with security -- even being brigged! -- without starting a one-man rage tiding crusade.

Also I'm pretty sure the "militia" thing was the third or fourth time you bugged me about joining security, but that's really neither here nor there.
