Ban reason and length: Critting multiple people for seemingly no reason in a blob round; did not answer admin PMs. (2 days aka. 2880 minutes)

Time ban was placed (including time zone): about 5:45pm (eastern time -5 UTC)

Your side of the story: This round I was the chaplain and well because my previous round as Chaplain was a bit boring when i was not involved with the ship I decided that this time I would play the "defender of justice" type of zealous crazy person. I attacked two people this round and actually crit them being a botanist that was literally breaking through the chemist lab and the clown for playing a bad joke on me. I am aware that I took things a bit too far, but it was the second time I played chaplain and I didn,t knew their weapons was THAT strong I had just planed to knock them out for a bit. For my defense I did bring both of them at medbay as I didn't wanted to kill them just "teach them a lesson" as a over zealous priest.

Why you think you should be unbanned: The reasons are simple, overall I didn't actually kill anyone and I was just playing in character. I didn't saw the admin message as he only buzz me once and I was in middle of a area with lot happening. I feel like banning me for critting two people is also overkill as I got mauled, killed and beaten to death for no reasons more than I can count. I understood I go to far and if I play chaplain in another round I will be more careful with it weapon that is quite OP to be honest.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

So, the thing is, when admins ask you if you have a minute, we're genuinely asking if you have a minute. If you don't, if the round around you is currently too chaotic, it's OK to say "give me a minute" or something to that effect and then answer when things are less hectic. It's always better than saying nothing.

As for the ban itself: While we certainly encourage roleplay, attacking people under the guise of "my character is a crazy person who attacks people" is not an acceptable form of RP under Rule 1:

We're all here to have a good time, supposedly. Going out of your way to seriously negatively impact or end the round for someone with little IC justification is against the rules. Legitimate conflicts where people get upset do happen however, these conflicts should escalate properly and retribution must be proportionate."

While the chaplain is indeed a more RP-oriented role, there are lots of ways to roleplay, even to roleplay a zealous priest, that don't involve critting people for flimsy reasoning (the botanist was trying to make chems to fight the blob, for instance).

I am really sorry, what I meant by lot of things were going on was that the chat get flooded so fast I could not see the admin call. If I would have notice it I would have answer for sure and I am truly sorry my attitude made others angry, I will be more careful from now one. Thank you to have answer my appeal so fast
