Started this year on my worst ever rank, 110,000 and now I'm back to 78,244

30 days ago I got my first score above 100pp on one map (103pp) and since then I've gotten a few more
Today I just earned 158pp from one map.

i've had rust for a few years and a friend convinced me to replay with him + another guy, it was enjoyable

We've been raided by these guys a few times now and it's really sapping the enjoyment out of the game for me, not because "i ded game sucks" but how fucking unbelievably horrifically bad the community is

These people are braindead retards that can't aim or critically think and their idea of quality humor is "HAHA GAY BOYS WE R EVICTING U" - the only way they manage to win is because I have an unplayable ping (friend is on the west coast where the server is so he can win gunfights) and they have the time to sink in ridiculous hours - it's not quite as snowballey as it used to be but it's still not quite there imo

seriously though these guys harassing us are incredibly dumb - we have a wall around our base and they managed to (silently, using c4???????) breach a section. Buddy with good ping holds them off, I get shot 3 seconds after ducking and hiding behind cover, the usual - they build a locked door in the hole and wall up the other entrances.

They seem to have forgotten that we have building permission for the entire area and can just put down a twig staircase, climb up, then destroy the other end to get in

these people are so dumb but it's actually impossible for me to retaliate thanks to this terrible ping (and of course we can't switch servers because we're established) and I don't like the gunplay anyways, so the game is just really losing all fun for me

You should've seen Goblins in the early betas.

You went to battle vs them and it was game over man. All your men are going to get snipped before you can even make visual contact and then if you somehow manage to close them they'll dodge the shit outta you.

Now they're much easier to handle, just fight them at night.

Graphics on the world map are sparse, but in the battle are pretty ok. There's no animations, because you are moving basically chess pieces around, but your chess pieces are nicely detailed, you can at glance see their armor and weapon and wounds and such.

The combat reminds me more of DnD than X-COM, but you also will be counting AP's and fatigue.

The most sadistic thing I've seen done with the sims was developing elaborate labyrinths so your sim winds up endlessly wandering the halls, and by the time he reaches any relief for his needs, something else crops up that requires him to brave the passages again, desiring rest and constantly seeing it within reach but never being allowed to grasp it

To be fair, it probably assumes the average fighting man is at least somewhat trained

While my band is just a bunch of random shitters I grabbed from peasant villages. Also one guy who killed a horse and then fucked it that joined me to avoid being punished for it. He was free so I said sure and gave him something sharp to stick in bandits and goblins. My recruiting standards are not exactly high

So really, it's more like 3 goblins slaughtered 6 random unarmoured peasants with shitty knives and clubs.

Killer Instinct. I """"upgraded"""" to windows 10 specifically to play this game and god damn if it isnt the most accessible, simple, yet somehow fun and still in-depth fighting game i've ever played. It's also FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (kinda). It's a AAA title but uses a LoL-style pay system in which you have to buy individual characters. Luckily I already knew who I wanted going in so I got the game for what can be boiled down to as 5$. Also cross-platform multiplayer with xbox assures this will be the most alive fighting game on the PC for a long time

Hacknet OS is okay.

It's just watching progress bars fill --I do enough of that at work!

The story and presentation is okay, though. Played a bit of the expansion and it already feels a lot more nuanced than the base game.

I'd say it's a good time filler and not much more.

Why the shit do random brigands have better gear than me?
Why the shit do they have gear worth ~3k on them?
And why are they all better than my guys even if I minmax the shit out of them?

Feels kinda bad, makes me feel like I'm just playing an optimisation puzzle instead of a management game. Because if I don't, my guys will just plain die to random fights with shitty brigands
Not going to complain about the chance of a random crossbow headshot taking out one of mine, thats just life and bad luck when it happens. But I sure as fuck am going to complain about everyone being consistently better equipped than my guys even when I get the best gear I can find
