He was trying to hurdle over him, expecting the punter to either duck down or attempt to tackle him. But punters aren't even really a part of the team and so instead of the strength and reflexes you usually see you get well...

There's a reason they call them special teams.

Football isn't awful just some of the culture surrounding it is really fucked up. You could say the same thing about soccer though, people murder each other over that shit. The sport itself is more robust than most nerds give it credit for, it's like a live-action chess with the pieces trampling over eachother. The vidya gaems are decent enough I just don't care much for watching it.
