A lot of the cost in game development is marketing. Half of GTA5's was marketing. I didn't see shit for Andromeda.

Anyway, the first DLC is gonna be the Quarian ark, which launched right as Mass Effect 3 started. It was late to launch as it was being retrofitted to carry some of the other species like elcor and hanar (aka devs didn't have time). Aside from Ryder they're the only ones who know about reapers so that should be cool.

The whole reaper thing is interesting, because the direction chose to hide it, Ryder too and still:
-The threat is over for them one way or another, the reapers won't go to andromeda to chase after a bit over 100k organics.
-No matter what, they cannot help their milky way brethren, since, well, 630 years have passed, either the cycle continued, and right now the galaxy is silent, or Shep "won" and the milky way passed that war long ago.
-TELLING the colonists about the reapers would actually harden them and keep them loyal, there is a good chance that no one on the milky way knows they exist, even if they would make a super mass effect relay, they really shouldn't go home, since either the reapers won and they simply get them, or civilisation continued and they're time stranded outsiders.

I guess they apply the same reasoning as the council, believing Shepard about the reaper threat, but choosing not to do anything other than maybe reinforcing a BIT their armies and security measures, and denying any claim of giant robosquids about to kill everyone.

About the quarian DLC... sounds interesting, yeah, a new planet, I guess, some missions, but it either goes LotSB/Citadel (Excellent narrative, great fun, great combats) or Omega/leviathan (quick pandering, atrocious writing, and overpriced)

Citadel was 100% pandering and fanservice, but it was well aimed, it had a lot of content, the comedy was great, the fights were excellent, and had the only interesting boss in the entire trilogy.

Citadel was 100% pandering and fanservice, but it was well aimed, it had a lot of content, the comedy was great, the fights were excellent, and had the only interesting boss in the entire trilogy.

yeah citadel was obvious fanservice, but it was some of the best made fanservice I've ever seen and actually respected the series

Which makes the Quarian quest arc even better. The asshole admiral in the second game turned out to be the hero in the third, and the choice at the end of the arc was even better if you didn't have the paragon/renegade options.

No, seriously, the Geth could've left the planet at any moment, they didn't do so, instead butchering the assholish quarians, then proceeded to make an isolationist kingdom, shooting to kill everything that got near the Perseus Veil, and yet you're told that they didn't really wanted to go to war, and the quarians only needed to talk to them. Also they joined the reapers twice, you could understand the first time as being in awe of a superior machine or something, the second time they just wanted to get even with the quarians, not caring if the rest of the galaxy burned because they aligned themselves with the nazirobosquids.

The only good synthetic is the one you blow up, and then give the MMI to the tator chef.

I wouldn't mind a Citadel like DLC but I highly doubt they want to do more Tempest crew building until the next game. I feel it's needed though as a lot of people felt like they were starting to like the new squad by the end of the game and then bam, it's over. Still, they did pretty good with the amount of it that they had.

Also, the lead writer for Andromeda confirmed he's already working on a new project. I WONDER WHAT IT IS?

I didn't say it's bad, I said all other Yoko Taro games are bad. You're also comparing a science fiction series with a vast background to a loony Jap game where pretty much everything in the games world is dead.

Despite being a Platinum game it's not that good compared to others like Revengeance and Bayonetta. For a Yoko Taro game it's amazing, but for a Platinum game it's okay. The music is godly but so is the music in Drakengard 3. The story has only been interesting in Drakengard 1 and Nier 1. Every other YT game it's pretty tame, and Drakengard 3 suffered heavily from light novel and comic bullshit.

Meanwhile, the only things I really like about MEA is the comradery and the combat. The rest is all mediocre to horrible.
