You should be able to craft a helmet that auto debrains people who put it on and activate it. Make it a craftable item requiring a sec helmet, wires, power cell, and glass shards or perhaps a saw. That or perhaps make it an item that RnD can make though bio research. I also like the idea of a smart surgical tool that auto selects the next tool for surgery rather than having to pick up and switch between the tools we have.

Use a surgical saw on harm intent, aimed at the head for easy and fast brain removal (you must kill the patient before you can decapitate him).

For #2, the CMO should get such a tool.

Emag disables the alive safeties, and the whole thing can be triggered via a remote signal.

Yeah really decapitation and yanking it out of the hole has kind of negated brain surgery entirely.

I had a really basic surgery upgrade branch but never prd it and now it's outdated. It involved toolcrafting titanium sheets to surgery tools with a welder (tablecrafting) in order to upgrade the item (make surgery steps shorter). With these you could do the same with diamond sheets to make a really upgraded tool that would almost half surgery time. Probably should bring it back and pr it since it's a common issue.

It removes a gameplay element that is needlessly time consuming that people have already found a preferable workaround to.

And further remove the need for MD's? You dickheads already walk into medical and take all the supplies you want anyway. Removing one of the few things you actually need doctors to do is asinine. Medical frankly needs an overhaul anyway, but I digress. Self surgery is nothing but bad for this game, and good for powergaming traitors who want to be able to do everything themselves.

debrain helmet should take time to take it away by yourself.Also it should take some time(about 20 s) for it's work, spamming chat about horrible pain.
It should be remotely activated.

self surgery is stupid and this idea is the opposite of a surgery buff

smart surgery tool is interesting but i would make it just have the tools in it, not automatically perform the next action, because then why even bother idk
