@oranges
I warned you if you kept making poorly constructed pr's that are designed to incite reactions rather than genuine attempts to improve the code that you would get shitcanned.
The last comment you made on my last PR was this:
Low effort pr again, with poor implementation on a bad idea.
Please try to listen to the last piece of advice I gave you.
And then I was banned without even being told, or given a chance to "listen to your advice".
My PRs aren't created for the sole purpose of inciting reactions, almost all of my prs are just small tweaks to existing things. The PRs which create reactions are the ones where I go and either A: modify weaponry or B: add features.
https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/21348
For example, in this PR i fixed an issue that made it only possible to craft lizard skin hats through the crafting menu. It was closed because it had a reference to smells the feet. Now I'm banned and lizard skin will probably never be fixed.
You only seem to complain about low effort on my tweak PRs that get closed
For example when I made some adjustments to the ATV crate I had added, the only comment you had was
TUNNEL SNAKES
That was a pr that was nothing except adding a few lines to a list of the gear in the ATV crate. Not even coding. yet because it's popular, you had no complaints about low effort.
In fact I even had this PR:
https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/21358 that was a work in progress. I had finished the code on my computer locally, and was going to upload when I noticed that I had been banned. And on the PR that I hadn't finished you wrote:
Could you please
A) put more effort into your pr's on their first presentation
B) stop touching things you know will attract peoples attention in the wrong way
You're soaking up valuable maintainer time that could be better spent elsewhere.
I guess I'm not allowed to do work in progress PRs, and by the time I had it finished you had already banned me and commented this.
All in all, I was new to Byond coding and the game's engine. Of course I can't code huge things. All this does is show coderbus's hostility towards new coders. New coders will be needed as old ones leave, and being discouraging through policies and actions like this will hurt the game and the community.
