Personally the case for me is not getting enough time between rounds to configure my character or do something else while I'm waiting for the round to start. The difference on sybil is they have so many people and they almost always get a guaranteed 20+ players to ready up so I don't need to worry about that there, but on artyom it's more of a big deal since we don't do gametype votes.

Yes, there's a minority of people who latejoin to not get targeted by antags and all that kind of shit because they're wimp-ass bitches, and this won't change them, but the amount of people who forget to, or don't have enough time to press ready, will get a bit more breathing room between rounds now, especially if they need to sperg about the last round.

I usually late-join so I can choose a job with nobody in it. I do it so there's no shortages on the station, and also because I hate people.

I was so goddamn proud of this ship I built, as a little gateway-away-mission thing to the abandoned mining base which happened to be full of actual xenos and whatnot. Only problem?

It was made out of unsimulated tiles, while the base is simulated tiles, and it's actually physically touching. Code-minded readers among you may know what happened next. It was both disappointing and hilarious.

Oh build mode, so fun, but so dangerous. You need to keep a realistic goal in mind given your limitations, your abilities, and the fact that players wanna play now, not in an hour. Speaking of which, the crown fucking jewel of my ambitions, an actual Fleet Battle map I built from scratch at the derelict guitar ship and was planning to use in a similar fashion to the fleet battle away mission thing, that was cool as shit.

That was as far as it got, and it took an hour. One fucking hour. A full hour of work, with no breaks. After that I just kinda gave up and let a few players fly around and mess around in it, but nothing over came of it, naturally. Fuck life.

Screenshot of a fun admin event where the station went too close to a star and we had to construct a cooling room to survive! Not pictured: The entire outside being covered in fire while admins play burning noises. Fun!

This is what happens when you var edit something to hold 500,000,000u of reagents and then use that space to make a massive cleaning grenade. I had a loop going inside so the complete outside of the zlevel was covered entirely in foam over 10 times until I had to mass delete all the foam to stop the server from crashing. Obviously done on my own server though!

Admins spawning a crusher labeled as "Anti boredom device". Guess what happened next.

Event stuff!

We're sent on a mission to an automatic orbital station to find a secret card!But there's a turret blocking our way...

We find a borgie and have him "disabling"(read: destroying!) the turret stuffs.

Inside, there's a minefield that we disable by throwing that poor dead person onto it.

Turns out the card was a decoy and the real one is hidden in the white abandoned ship. We have a short fight but retrieve the card. No screenshots from there, I forgot to take them!

We're sent to infiltrate their main base with commander level suits and find out what the stolen genetic data is used for.

And...it's terrible. Suddenly we meets a centcom officer inside the base and...

They're not quite human!

We try to find our ways out but are eventually arrested...and it turns out that the main base was in centcom all along!

I was a DA and rp'd a syndicate operative who was forced into the job on Sybil.

Warden was bro tier and let me be in Perma without supervision, even after I told him I had an uplink implant.

Spent the rest of the round mutating shit till I got deus weed and lots of grass to get a shit ton of biomass. Was rolling in food, weed, and products from the generator.

I remember this round, I was having fun spawning loads of food on the library. Yina with her snowflake character from that online comic and nemovonfish, the white-haired guy. Oh and Rocky is there too, top-left bartender. The Urist brothers are there too, McBucket and I don't remember the other one.

Here's rocky making his strip bar (he did it all the time, it became a bit tedious-boring after a while) but we made him dance. I think that's Amy as roboticist? Not sure. Sly as HoS and I don't remember the rest, but I remember that I liked that CE.
