I'm only posting this here because from what I can tell it only occurs with the current /tg/station codebranch (if I have posted this in the wrong place on the forum my apologies, but I couldent find any "help" or similarly named subforum)
I have been trying to host a private /tg/ station server to play with my friends. I have done this with great success in the past but recently I have been unable to join my own server and my friends cant join it either. Dream deamon says that the port can be reached by users, the build compiles with no errors or warnings, yet I cant even connect to it by pressing the yellow (merge sign) "join" button or by hitting "world" and clicking join from there. Any attempt to connect to the server results in a "connection failed" message. (I have also attempted connection using the link that is supposed to be given to other people.)
I have redownloaded, compiled, and clean compiled the code several times (not always clean compiling), I have restarted my computer, checked the configs, checked that my firewall wasn't messing with it, made sure the right port was forwarded, reinstalled byond as administrator, tried connecting using the webclient, and probably other things I cant remember right now, all with no success or even change.
however using a several year old version of the /tg/ codebranch did work, as well as an attempt with a different byond game.
After several hours of troubleshooting I just don't know what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

nothing at all, acts as though nothing happened. (joining with the webclient creates a log that a guest was in the game for a smaller amount of time than it can measure though)

Re: Can't connect to my own server (help please)
I'd try posting in the byond forums under byond help. Nothing in our code limits local host connections and in fact our code bypasses bans and other things for them. I'm byond confused about why it would do that.
