The game basically showered me in mandalorian blasters and upgrade parts so I just mass-upgraded like 5 of them and gave them to every companion for those missions.

Though tbh the worst part of the game is easily Nar Shaddah. Nothing about that place is fun and you have to walk way too much

I guess you just built HK-47 really badly Techno. When I ran through it I had no problems. Well, I would've had problems if I hadn't discovered a really OP piece of armor in there that gave me 75% immunity to energy weapons but hey it worked out.

I had bought Stranger of Sword City but refunded it in less than an hour of gameplay.

There's nothing here. No charm, no humor, no atmosphere. It goes from 0 to soulless grind just like that.
I like Etrian Odyssey, I liked Class of Heroes, but this is just so dry I couldn't do it. The art style is neat and that's all there was to it. $30 is way too much for this. $10 or $15 maybe.

Conversely I pre-ordered VA-11 Hall-a because it looks comfy and I like the OST already.
It's $15 and is a game all about just talking to other characters and giving them drinks.
Sometimes you also get drunk. Or spend your income on random junk.

Finished KotoR 2. I am saying with total seriousness that it's the best game I've ever played. As far as actual games go I think the first one is better, but the writing in this one is the best I've seen anywhere and just elevates it so much higher. So what I'm saying is while the first one is a much better Star Wars experience KotoR 2 is a much better experience. I 100% recommend for you guys to pick it up because it's amazing.

Get the restored content mod. The ending is complete shite without it.

Yeah you need to sub to get most of the game, but it is actually a good deal. I subbed for a little bit back when I played and I felt it was worth it.

Then again the only reason I subbed is because they make you take a -25% xp hit if you're free past level 20 so it's harder to level

The ridiculous number of fatalities they programmed was my favorite part.
More violent than Mortal Kombat, IMO. MK is really cartoony and goofy and people rip apart in really stupid ways. Kick someone so hard their torso pops off but their arms and legs just float in midair like fucking Wiley Coyote.

Shadow of Mordor has you just lopping heads off and stabbing people through the neck at a riduculous rate. You're just butchering the shit out of everything that moves constantly. It's shallow as fuck gameplay wise but its still FUN.

While Stellaris Asimov is in Beta, and with Zero Time Dilemma coming out next week, I thought I'd finally play through Homeworld. I played it before when I was younger, but I never really played past the 4th Mission or so.

Replaying it now (Remastered) and I'm totally impressed with how much of an impact it makes despite being such a simple game. It's all in the presentation and the freedom the game offers the players, even through much of the dialogue sequences.

I'm so fucking ready for Zero Time Dilemma.

But I've been playing a shitload of Underrail lately. It's fun, in the vein of Fallout 1 and 2, but fuck me sometimes it's extremely frustrating, also like Fallout 1/2. I made the poor descicion of not hunting down and crafting/buying bio-resistant armor or a better gun before entering a map absolutely swarming with enemies that dealt compound bio and physical damage, so I'd take like 1 physical damage through my armor and all 10 bio damage. My only good call was making a fuckton of molotovs and spamming them like mad.

Also I'm deeply dissatisfied with the crafting autism. Wasteland 2 did it way better, you made the guns you had better instead of carting around a fuckload of parts that ~maybe~ you'll eventually turn into gear/weapons. Plus, you only find parts by looting or buying, not by recycling stuff! You'd think you'd be able to tear apart a pistol to get pistol parts, or hell even just one pistol part, but no, you get metal scrap. Meh.

Remastered a shit, though. Hit rates dominated by probability suck, the original Homeworld had each projectile actually calculate whether it hit a ship and where and do damage based on that.

I know they fucked around with formations and balance, but the projectile system is an engine problem as far as I'm aware.

Reinstalled SWTOR and went to level 50 on my Trooper. Good lord the writing is so predictable. Every single fucking planet you're working with some Republic military dude who leads you somewhere and he's all like, "I'M TRATOR LOLOLOLOLOLOL" and then he gets mulched and this happens so often that the second you meet a character that's not in the main game world but only exists in instances you KNOW he's going to be a traitor because it happens every fucking time. Literally the main plot of the game was your sergeant being a traitor and fucking off into the galaxy with the rest of his traitor squad and you kill him like 5 hours in and the rest of the game you're going to who-gives-a-fuck-istan planet, talking to people you don't care about, getting quests to do things you don't care about from people you don't care about to help in a conflict that never meaningfully advances which makes you not care about it. The outfit system is cool though. I decked myself in sickass armor, painted that shit Deep Blue and White for one outfit and Deep Red and White for the other and I look cool as shit. Used to be that most armors were customizable so you could wear whatever you wanted and still keep it looking good due to updating your modifications but that was bad since every few levels you'd have to remove all the mods in your armor and replace them with better ones to keep the look you like and that wasn't fun at all so I'm glad it's gone.

Mechanically it's decently fun. Mostly just WoW stuff so it's not really satisfying to use your abilities at all but the sound design is good enough that it makes up for it, they're all really satisfying to hear and as far as assault cannons go they sound really powerful and they're great. I particularly like Flashpoints, which are basically Dungeons with their own self-contained stories and fat loot in all of them. They give retarded amounts of XP points too so if you do a few of them you'll always be overleveled and the planets you go to for the missions you have to do will be really easy due to how high your level is.

What I'm trying to say is that it's fun and if any of you are into WoW with a Star Wars reskin it's really good. The F2P restrictions are really really punishing in some areas but you can ignore them or bypass them, with the most punishing being the credit limit at 350k. You also get -25% xp points past level 20 or so but if you do flashpoints you'll easily make up for the xp loss and your gear will always be pretty good.

Bloodstained E3 demo finally got released to backers. It's pretty damn good, I almost started grinding for souls like in Aria of Sorrow when I realized none of this was going to save haha.

I read some review that they basically ported HW1 to HW2's engine for the remaster, and one of the things the newer engine didn't support was formations. Gearbox seemed to have released a patch much later though that re-added a lot of the stuff back in that was missing initially, and a lot of the more recent steam reviews seem very happy about it.

Also, fuck the Garden/Cathedral of Kadesh missions. What a curveball to be thrown, and they're missions that you need to be prepared for beforehand. I had to go back a couple of missions just to course correct. As much as I like the nomadic feel the campaign gives you, where you take every ship you had with you to the next mission, it's totally unfair to just dump you into an ambush like that when the last mission seemingly rushes you out, and the one before that doesn't give you many resources.
