Take care of Cloning. The MDs are there just in case the Geneticists aren't. They're also supposed to research genetic powers and share the useful ones with the crew - that's not giving hulk to everyone, that's giving everyone cold resistance and giving Security TK/xray.

You can still use TK to subvert the AI, I think. X-ray and mesons (or night vision goggles - a NVHUD is good for this) give you perfect vision, and even Hulk has its uses against aliens. Cold resistance makes you fully spaceworthy barring oxygen, which Self-Respiration from Virology can provide. Laser eyes and a RIG suit lets you shoot lasers out of your eyes forever, if you can get it somehow.

Back before defibrillators were in the game, Genetics was the most convenient and easy method of bringing people back to life. Genetics provides clean (or not-so-clean) genomes, powers, and a method of reviving people, although it isn't used much anymore because people insist on cloning the people themselves and whining when the geneticist tries to do their job and handle it for them.

I used to love playing genetics back before defibs came around. Managing corpses and running a speedcloning operation and having dozens of people rely on you was really great when you were actually able to pull through. Nowadays that rarely happens except for the occasional blob round or murderboner who steals the defibs beforehand. A real shame.
