I'm moderately excited for it. I like the wide range of character designs and playstyles, and I'm curious to see how Blizzard, a company that I've been a sorta-fan of for years, does in this venture into a new genre.

I have little interest in this game but my friends will make me play it after it's released (if it's free, as everyone is speculating it is).
That's ages away though, I am not signing up for the beta.

The desktop and my beautiful self (with image data for today) are all ur gonna get.

The objective mechanics of the game play a lot like call of duty for some reason, while the tone of the game and the ablities are more team fortress 2ish but tbh they are kinda unique, for example the guy with the rasta guy with the megaphone makes it feel like you're not playing a real shooter, but some kind of mmo or moba where you buff your team/party members.

It honestly gives me strong vibes from mobas, with people like the orangutan guy being a disruptor separating people and tanking and having supports and buffers and stuff in the game, that said it kinda crashes in my pc since it's trash so i'm probably just gonna let my bf play on it

I really want to play as the Cowboy. His ult looks fucking broken if you can flank a team and catch them not looking.

EDIT:

Nice taste in Manga. Fingers have been crossed they'll get around to making an adaptation of that for TV soon.

It seems like everyone wants to play as Tracer. She looks like a really cool character but I don't know about her actual in-game abilities. They seem pretty meh.

She honestly feels extremely skill based; I mean that she has a lot of outplay potential, but the damage from her main gun is atrocious, pros are certainly going to do some crazy stuff with her imo.

While she might be a counter to big slow bads, she just seems like she'll get ripped to pieces against any of the other offensive characters.

Zenyatta seems like another character to watch IMO. His orbs ability to debuff and track opponents could be pretty useful, and also shit on characters like Tracer.

Reaper, yeah.

He has akimbo shotguns so we're all assuming that there is ramp to his DPS as he gets closer and closer to his target...which synergizes with his ability to cloak and run around for a bit. He seems like Overwatch's version of the assassin/rogue archetype where you sneak up on an enemy unaware and then kill them at close range.

Like I said above though, I really want to try McCree for similar reasons. His ult looks like it would do a better job of wiping out potentially six opponents at the same time if you can approach them from an angle they wont notice:

Also it feels like reaper is a bit bad against nimble characters like tracer and the ones that have very small hitboxes( prolly unless you're skilled with him), because the fire rate of the shotguns is kinda crappy so he suffers when those kind of characters force him to take shots while they are moving quickly from side to side, it feels like he's supposed to position himself properly with his abilities to do the maximum amount of damage.

He does tons of damage if he hits you up close though, i think if you hit any of the non-tank characters with a close in headshot it's an instant kill(which is pretty heavy considering he can fire nonstop).

Parts of it are pretty typical but parts of it break the mold in cool ways.

It reminds me a lot of early Naruto, where it had a lot of potential, was falling into some tropes but innovating away from others.
Hopefully it wont take a full-on nosedive into DBZ powerlevel bullshit like every other show seems to eventually do.

I don't know what it is about Overwatch but all of the overly aggro characters (well, specifically Tracer and Reaper) look too far gone on the spectrum of tank vs gank to actually be serviceable. I think on paper there is some math that would show that they could be really great in the perfect hands, but whenever I see gameplay videos of them they just look like too much work for something that easily can get shit on by every other character in the game. The defense and support options are looking really strong just based on the early pressers and gameplay stuff that's come out so far.

And honestly I like that. It means the game will need more strategy than just one or two good offensive players on a team steamrolling the other guys.

If that's true I wouldn't be surprised if a large portion of the TF2 casuals that will crossover into this game get turned off by it. "You mean I can't just one-man scout rush the whole game?! THIS SUCKS! MY SKILLLLLLLLLLLLL!"

My friend got in and he says his experience so far is that either his team builds turrets and the enemy team runs into them and dies, not bothering to try and kill the turrets, or the enemy team builds turrets and his team runs into them and dies, not bothering to try and kill the turrets.
He's only done 5 matches but that still sounds pretty funny.
