Asimov borg and AI blatently ignoring orders, spacing body
Your byond account: Alzam
Your character name: Khloe Alice
Their character name: ADORABLE OVERLORD (AI) F.A.L.L.C.O.N. (sec borg)
Their byond account(optional, but useful if you can provide it):Yakumo Chen (AI) Sceptiles (sec borg)
Server and time: Sybil. around 2:15AM CST
Logs and/or screenshots: http://pastebin.com/K37yXRRk
Description of what happened: Usual round, zombie + skeleton event happens like it has every single round I've played today. AI uses this technicality to ignore the non humans and shit (which is retarded since this just gives silicons free reign until Halloween is over since apparently this is kosher?) I'm turned back into a human via genetics, and sometime later A fellow doctor and I are attempting to clone the cook (who is a skeleton). AI says he doesnt like the cook, so he wont let him be cloned and locks down cloning. As a human, I order it to open, which it blatantly ignores. Sec borg runs up, ignores all orders to cease and takes the body to escape to space. (which it also pushed me into space multiple times trying to get it) The borg just kept claiming the cook killed the clown (don't know if true) and eventually since I don't want to die I'm forced back in while it pushes the body into deep space. AI and borg are extremely non helpful for the rest of the round until they are made paladin for some stupid reason near the end.
I don't really care if the person was a traitor or not (I didn't see or hear him hurt anyone, he very well could have gone on some murder spree) But the AI was the only person obsessed with making sure he wasn't cloned and that is pure garbage to ignore human orders in order to satisfy your validboner.
Why they should be banned: This kind of silicon behavior is unacceptable, even if skeletons and zombies are not on the same level as lizards (although they should be since everyone is FORCED TO BE ONE during the holiday) the AI and borg ignored multiple orders by MULTIPLE humans and tried to handwave it as "preventing future harm" in OOC postround. I don't really care if they get silicon bans but at the very least they need a note or a stern warning telling them not to do this shit again.

Chef was non-human gang (leader) Borg did nothing wrong in preventing you from cloning them IMO. But this could go both ways so I'd like to hear from others on their opinion.

I was immediately killed after killing the clown when they tried slipping and cablecuffing me and I had noticed I was losing O2. They in no way knew I was a gangmember after I had outed the barkeep that round on being a gangmember themselves. I was a regular gang member that round.TechnoAlchemist wrote:Chef was non-human gang (leader) Borg did nothing wrong in preventing you from cloning them IMO. Re: Asimov borg and AI blatently ignoring orders, spacing bo
Only because of PDA messages I made to Mekhi Anderson at roundstart where I claimed I was going to throw knives at him. I was not a gangster when I started sending those messages at roundstart. They only acted on a suspicion they had. The barkeep that round was yelled out to be a gangster over radio and I immediately went to kill them since they were an enemy gangster. To my knowledge, the borg or security never found any paraphernalia related to gang on me at allTechnoAlchemist wrote:You were confirmed a gangster over Sec. Regardless, you were assumed to be a harmful gangster for assaulting the clown since they were implanted. The real question is whether or not it was okay to ignore w law two order.

Re: Asimov borg and AI blatently ignoring orders, spacing bo
Correct me if I'm wrong (since this is something I have seen admins go back and forth on for years now) but I thought that future harm wasn't really an excuse when it came to things like cloning. It seems like the non validhunting response would be to have the borg demand the harmful non human be cuffed upon popping out of the cloner instead of sent into the deep reaches of space despite no one calling for their head. That's more my problem with the situation. The AI's general attitude towards non humans (98% of the crew) is the bigger issue here. The only reason why I even gave up the skeleton life in order to become human again was due to the AI being shitty. Sadly my logs don't catch anything before I get popped into my new body but people on radio were already really wary of the AI due to its behavior.

Re: Asimov borg and AI blatently ignoring orders, spacing bo
Can I be explained how it's acceptable for a borg to Ignore Law 2 when Law 1 is no longer an issue since the skeleton is dead? I can sorta understand denying the cloning [which they could have easily just cuffed the skeleton once cloned], but to space someone under asimov is really shit in both gameplay terms and law ones [pun intended], especially when doing so interferes with a human-given order.

Re: Asimov borg and AI blatently ignoring orders, spacing bo
The borg was just following the ai's orders, so you can't blame the borg.
And let's say for example a traitor killed 5 people then was killed after, the ai breaks no laws preventing his cloning like in this case even if you law 2 him, at least from a law standpoint as he will probably harm again.

Re: Asimov borg and AI blatently ignoring orders, spacing bo
Does cloning remove gang status? I think this should also be a factor. He wasn't a boss. I'll begrudgingly concede that if he would still be gang after cloning that the AI had reason to prevent his revival. But if he loses gang status than I don't feel it's legitimate to have prevented his cloning.

Usually as a silicon I default to just listening to what people are saying in the moment, since it seems to produced the least rage.
As a silicon player you usually have to be willing and able to let others boss you around even if you think they're a bit dumb in the brain

Re: Asimov borg and AI blatently ignoring orders, spacing bo
If borg thought it was a gang, it should have just beaten the clonee into ungang when it was cloned, because nonhuman.
Harming a human with spess because you're so eager to break their orders and space a nonhuman for harming another nonhuman is byond the pale.
Then again if they were really the only human on station you should have been extracting them to a safe bunker to protect from heart attacks/spookitons rather than being robocop

Gang leaders do keep antag status after cloning, as do cultists and revs.
That being said Oranges is right, AI and borg is a role where you really have to go with the flow of the round sometimes.
