Give Hull Airlocks Cycling Mechanisms To Balance Fastmos
Okay, I get it, because MSO coded fastmos we're stuck with it.
But that doesn't magically make spacewind compatible with the prior station layouts.
I propose that hull airlocks to space be given a cycling system wherein only one door can be open at a time, and the hall between two airlocks be given a cycle button to quickly close the exterior airlock.
The problem with airlocks and spacewind now is that you are able to open the inside airlock and the exterior airlock at the same time, leading to a breach that sucks the crew member in the airlock out again. This needs to be dealt with, and a cycling mechanism is the easiest way to do that.
I always felt that a cycling mechanism was missing from the station designs, but now it is essential.

It is honestly the most awful thing I've seen in this game.
This is comparing it to shit like slowspace, stungloves, LAGuloth, and the several dozen hilariously broken/buggy thing goofchem has gone through.
All those things above were either bad gameplay or bad coding. They've also all been (to various degrees) fixed.
Our current atmos is just plain FRUSTRATING.
Like holy shit, when I see someone (or myself) getting fucked by fastmos, either gettin endlessly pulled back for a minute. Or someone flood ANY gas, ANYWHERE causing fucking pressure differences that make walking down a perfectly safe corridor a 5 minute chore, and walkin through a side door an all but impossible task, all I can think is of is memesters on git spouting "I thought you guys wanted a more lethal station?"
Fuck you. This shit is not more lethal.
It is not more fun.
It does not improve gameplay for anyone.

1) Open external airlock, wait a second or two for the air to leave
2) Step into airlock
3) close external airlock
4) Open internal airlock
5) wait a second for the air to come back in
6) Rejoice
Or, if you're dragging something:
1) cry
2) rage
3) push the thing into the airlock, close the door behind it, and look for another airlock to come in by.

I hate myself for saying this, but, bay seems to cope just fine with cycling airlocks. Personally I never got why we didnt have cycling airlocks anyway. Adds a nice pinch of realism and also gives traitors a fun mechanic to fuck with and screw people over with.
Right now it sounds like we're in that shitty "in between" stage where one thing has been changed, but the map hasn't in order to keep it balanced/working.

Steal Bay's. Fastmos isn't anything unique. Its just our current atmos system running faster than it was last year.

Why not change how strong spacewind's push and pull is? Base it on w_class or something. Our old atmos system was incredibly slow and it would make things like scrubbing plasma impossible. Pretty much any atmos changes were permanent and fucked over the station.

Fastmos is great, because it means that atmos techs actually can refill breached areas with oxygen. Why would you want to go back to the old way where it took 20 minutes to just fill a small room back up with air?

Remember when airlocks weren't solid for your tile?
