Gang Bosses Should Not Spawn In The Same Department

This is pretty elementary and really shouldn't be an issue. This means the gang bosses find each other out at round start and within five minutes both have ratted the other out to Sec.

It defeats the point of gangs when Sec immediately knows who the leaders are, and heavily gimps whichever gangs started together from the very start.

there's no other antag in the game that checks co-workers for antag status or whatever, though

besides, "gang bosses finding each other out round start and have ratted each other out" sounds like a player problem, not a code problem

it's more of a problem in gang though since a lot of it is antag v antag conflict
it would be like spawning the nuke ops in the same room as the captain (only the captain is an antag i guess)

my first point was more that i'd imagine it would be difficult code wise to make sure gang bosses don't spawn in the same department, since supposedly roundstart code is ass

besides, can't you just... leave your department? or murder the other leader?

Edge case not worth worrying over that could just introduce more problems imo

At the very least it could make jobs within large departments all the more advantageous as it guarantees everywhere there is free for recruitment.

Also sounds fucking hilarious. It's this sort of spontaneity and unpredictability that makes the game as great as it is.

I agree at the least that jobs with a low amount of works, like Chemistry or Robotics, shouldn't have both be different bosses, if just for balance reasons.

On the other hand, both going to pen each other only to find out both are bosses sounds like a hilarious 'oh shit' moment.
