Ban reason and length: https://gyazo.com/118bbafbe8e0e97374a23ac18d7e49fe 2880 minute ban, for escalating an issue with the warden too quickly "under less than satisfactory escalation" and then murdering the captain in cold blood.

Time ban was placed (including time zone): 2015/09/05 12:17:13 - ban expires same time on 2015/09/07. I did not keep track of the time in my own timezone when the ban was applied, apologies.

Your side of the story: Round start as HOS, i tell sec to report in. One guy reports in, while most of the others sort of just fuck off and start filling comms later when stuff actually happens, at which point i become horribly occupied with everything including a captain who doesn't want to be a captain and comes barging into my office, takes my shit and then leaves again. Warden decides that being a smartass and saying i do nothing at this point would be funny, so i try to get her to do something else than gawking around at all the sec officers (who were literally doing jackshit as well, except that one lizard maybe).

Later i come back to sec after talking with the captain, and i see space floortiles (which i thought was a breach at the time, people had been mentioning bombs over the comms, besides that i was not aware of these floortiles in TGcode yet, relatively new still) and i ask the warden how she and the others could have overseen this. Instead of actually being reasonable and answering me properly she beats me in the fucking chest with a harmbaton, then cuffs me and says i BLAMED her for the tiles outside. She continues being a complete jackass after that, and the other officers as well when i tell them to detain her, they ignore it for a few minutes then finally one officer complies but lets her get out of the fucking cell right after at which point i thought i didn't have much choice considering she was walking freely completely armed so i stun her and beat the living shit out of her while she is still being obnoxious, shouting such original things as 'sexual' assault while i try to end her rebellious misery. Considering the warden had just been ignoring me for the most part, and acting like she did along with all the random people walking in and out of sec and the fact that no admins were on to regulate any of the shitty behaviour they were displaying, i acted accordingly.. I killed the captain as well, Which is to say pre-emptively. I recognize this sort of behaviour, it has gotten me killed several times before. And let me just say this,

I have absolutely ZERO fucking tolerance for that bullshit anymore, much less as HOS. I may be an asshole IC'ly but at least i'm competent if people actually do anything other than act like cancerous idiots and call me fag over the PDA and shit before i'm banned. Didn't even get to finish a conversation with the AI, or get a trial or sentence or anything. I had to hide from people and then reply to the admin, who eventually saw me as just improperly using escalation (of force, i'm assuming) which is true but i believe it was justified in that situation. From what i remember, these people tend to get instantly fucking revived magically either way so i suppose yes, what i did was pointless and i recognize my mistakes by now. As quickly rectified as they were probably were either way.

Why you think you should be unbanned: 1. I can suck up to my mistakes, but this was more 'No you don't do that sort of shit here, exactly' which i recognized then even if the admin cut me short in the conversation with the ban.

2. I don't play here very regularly, i'm unlikely to cause these kinds of things but i think the warden should of known better when it comes to their superiors.

3. I'm not completely degenerate, and i know how to roleplay if given the chance.

I'm probably going to be told to wait out the ban, but i'd rather have this cleared up quickly with you people instead.

Okay, so let me get this straight - the Captain walked into your office, takes 'your shit', ostensibly just a jumpsuit or the spare pair of HUDs, when the Captain has 100% authority to do so. You then kill him in response.

You seem to be focusing on the warden thing, and honestly, I don't think that's the primary problem here. You almost surely would have only be warned for the warden thing, at most, but killing the Captain for effectively no reason deserves a hefty ban. You could arrest him, yes, potentially, for derelication of duty (or maybe he was actually doing his job, merely reluctantly?), but beating a Captain to death at basically roundstart for touching *your* (read: the corporation's and anyone that outranks you's) things? Not really excusable by any means. It'd be like if the CE killed the Captain for taking insuls (back in the old days when Captain's gloves weren't insulated).

The warden hit you once with a harmbaton and you killed them several minutes after. The captain came into your office behind a desk and was talking to you and you killed them.

If you have a problem with someone in your department, you can strip their ID and kick them out instead of jumping right to killing them.

I didn't kill the captain for taking my shit (even if he had no idea what he was doing) i killed him because he was about to demote me for getting rid of a complete moron.

I don't think that's the case, the warden kill came first. The Captain kill came a good while after the took his stuff.

Warden sounded like a shithead and as far as I recall execution for attempted Mutiny and straight up assault on a Head of Staff (Let alone from a member of security) is kosher (Judging by my past experiences).

I've played with this dude before and he's a pretty good Security member. Who was the Captain and the Warden out of curiosity?

Forgive me but isn't there a rule/policy on mutiny? If the cpt is going to demote him for killing the warden this all seems as it should've been a IC issue.

The warden think sounded legit because he harmed his head of security, but maybe someone can fetch logs of the cpt trying to demote him so we can know if he was or not?

The gist of the ahelp convo was basically the warden seeking to explain that the space tiles wasn't space by stuncuffing the hos and dragging him there. A single harm baton occurred during this time. After that, another officer stuncuffed the warden and brigged them without taking their ID so the warden walked out. A few minutes pass before you kill the warden. After a while, the captain comes into your office and hasn't made a single move apart from talking to you about your demotion and you kill them.

Wasn't a mutiny, wasn't justified in killing two people. Could have demoted, stunned, stripped and kicked the warden without a single item out of the brig, those would all have been fine.

I'm not gonna lift this one, sorry.
