Thread theme here:Bernie is rising in the polls every week. Not sure what the fuck you're on about. If it's about the BLM thing, the crowd was booing the hecklers. Everybody is on his side regarding that. If Hillary dies out he's almost guaranteed the nomination. Looking at his competition from the Republican party, he's not up against much. The Republicans have alienated almost every voting bloc that isn't old people, and they're dying off. They're going to nominate somebody completely unelectable, and they'll get fucking wrecked just like they did in 2008 and 2012. Their party has reached the point where they can't compete on a national level. They will not win another presidency unless they seriously reexamine their platform or it turns out the Democratic party has been slaughtering infants and selling their organs on the black market. He appeals to people who don't want a corporate shill as president. Trump appeals to weak-minded, gullible, wannabe tough guys who think that building a wall will magically solve all immigration problems. There are a multitude of different reasons that could explain why he didn't force them off the stage. Maybe he wanted to look open and accepting. Maybe he just didn't have the security to force them off stage. Maybe he just didn't know how the fuck to respond. Not saying that I agree.DrPillzRedux wrote:Burnie appeals to the weak and there's loads of weak people. The way he let the BLM girls treat him made him look like an innocent old man and them like asses. Seeing Trump and Burnie in a debate would be weird. A quiet and a loud old guy facing off.

this early in the campaign polls don't matter. they are clickbait. "momentum" doesn't change the fact that bernie can't win. there is literally no point in american history where a candidate as far-left as bernie has won an election -- this isn't the first time a socialist has run, lots of them ran back when it was less of a pejorative, they all got BTFO -- and the general attitudes of the country aren't different now.Luke Cox wrote:Bernie is rising in the polls every week. Under normal circumstances I would agree. However, Hillary is fucking up left and right, not to mention the emails she illegally stored. If the allegations are found to be true, she's done. Bernie is literally the only other option that isn't some obscure candidate nobody's ever heard of.bandit wrote:this early in the campaign polls don't matter. they are clickbait. same goes for trump tbh, there is no way he can actually win an election and he has no intention on doing so. the gop isn't all shit though, rubio actually has a fairly decent shot unless he fucks up
If you think being rich and saying whatever the fuck you want are the primary steps to being an effective president, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you. Quite frankly, being chairman of an organization the size of his ought to immediately disqualify you from running. He would literally be writing the laws that regulate his business. General Shitflinging Thread 101
Donald Trump is rich, therefore no one can say "Hey, i'l give you X ammount of money if you say Y and Z speech"
No, he'll just promote the ideas that lead to the success of his business
Donald Trump is a home grown capitalist, no one is going to say "Lets give everyone free things during this term"
I know, the US has such a robust welfare system and social safety net. I mean, who the fuck wants healthcare and education that won't cripple you with debt?
Donald Trump has a understanding of economics, unlike some presidents *cough* 18 trillion in debt *cough* *cough* someone please dare say bush is responsible for it, i'l kick your fucking teeth in *cough*
I don't think you understand how the national debt works
Donald Trump doesn't care what you think, he's a billionare, he says what needs to be said
He says whatever suits his interests. If throwing infants into volcanoes was profitable, he'd promote the shit out of it
Donald Trump is not politically correct, this is something no one else has the balls to be.
He isn't politically incorrect, he's a fucking asshole. There is a stark difference. Being president requires you to at least be able to pretend to be a decent person.
Donald Trump HAS a background, unlike some people *cough* Obama *Cough*
The whole "businessmen make great leaders!" thing gets me the most out of all. A country is not a fucking business. Yes, fiscal management is one part of the job but it's a lot more complicated. Even that is vastly different in that businesses seek to make as much profit as possible while incurring as few expenses as possible. A government (should) devote as many resources as possible to improving infrastructure and providing for citizens as they can reasonably afford. Trump has fuck all experience in politics. State governors are more qualified than he is.
I hope to god he wins, my ass is moving to russia if HilaryShiton wins.

I've always been on the fence about voting third party. The two party system is cancer. You get to choose between authoritarian left and authoritarian center. If you're libertarian left like me, you're shit out of luck. Of course, I live in California so my vote for president is pretty meaningless anyways.Takeguru wrote:i vote third party because the 2 party monopoly is what's driving this country into the ground.

Should have mentioned that too. Trump managed to bankrupt a casino. A fucking casino. A place where people practically throw money at you for little in return. The ultimate money sink.Maccus wrote:The thing is like, 80% of companies Trump start file for bankruptcy. He's not really a good businessman and all of his money comes from being born rich.

the emails thing was bad but most of the voterbase realistically does not give a fuck. otherwise she's done... nothing? like literally nothing, I wouldn't be surprised if her strategy was actually "do nothing and watch bernie implode."Luke Cox wrote: Under normal circumstances I would agree. Here's hoping that the presidential race winds up being Donald Trump vs Joe "Literally gaffing right now" Biden.Scones wrote:Trump's antics are an endless source of entertainment, a well that will NEVER run dry

The humor would be endless. Voting numbers would be at an all time low.
You're right about Hillary's strategy being "do nothing" and that's the problem. She did this in 2008 too. It's an excellent strategy until you get the debate stage where everybody around you is giving concise, concrete stances on issues while she sits there and twiddle her thumbs. Hillary cannot debate to save her life, and in my opinion that's what cost her the 2008 nomination. She can't do anything that's not scripted. If Biden was going to run he would have announced it by now. Hillary and Sanders both have a lot of steam going. Any new candidates will get eclipsed by the two of them. The only reason Trump is even getting noticed is because he's insane. The race is too far along for any new serious candidates.bandit wrote:the emails thing was bad but most of the voterbase realistically does not give a fuck. otherwise she's done... nothing? like literally nothing, I wouldn't be surprised if her strategy was actually "do nothing and watch bernie implode."Luke Cox wrote: Under normal circumstances I would agree. But that already happens. The only difference is, the companies throw money at politicans to get them into office who are in turn effectively indebted to them and writes the laws that regulate their business.
