Suggestion for some sort of chemical made from space drugs and stuff, that has a similar (but more targeted) effect to n2o. Probably an ingest and breathable chem.
In low concentrations, it could cause people to giggle and animate-twitch occasionally.
In medium concentrations, it could cause people to burst out spontaneous laughter occasionally, and cause the victim to have temp clown clumsy.
And in high/overdose concentrations, cause large bouts of twitching and laughter that are so extreme that the victim has trouble breathing, to the point at which they take oxyloss and sometimes pass out. They'd recover the oxyloss and stop laughing while unconscious, assuming they fall unconscious in a breathable atmosphere or state.
You could probably make a more advanced version that also works on contact, but requires more rare chems.
