Well that's a wagon I wouldn't job on.
Maybe it's just me, but I love the survival aspect of this game. I also like dying having the consequence of maybe not being brought back into the round.
It means things have weight. Actions can lead to the removal of the round, and that sort of thing.
This just makes death feel worthless.
"Oh, you died? Just come back as x!"

On one hand, people being forced out of the game without a way back in is bad design. Not fun.
On the other hand, if you gitgud you won't die more often than not, and SS13 is, by nature, harsh.

I'm against this, mostly because the idea behind pAIs is to not be able to meaningfully impact the round through your actions, and a robust player can do a fuckload, even limited to monkey business. I'd suggest taking a look at Bay's positronic brains, which are a fusion of golems and MMIs; Take ghost, stand on posibrain, Posibrain beeps and whirrs and pings, player clicks posibrain, you MMI now.

I'd also suggest taking a look at baycode's Mobile MMIs; MMI spiders with a limited toolkit, lawed to mind their own business and keep the station running. Scurrybots that patch holes in maint or unbolt the escape airlocks.
