my impressions of delaware(mosquitoman unoffically approved)

Post by nsos » #101509

Delaware is a temporal and virtual state whose skyline features all past hermetic efforts at unifying desire and truth, conscious and unconscious, spontaneity and intellect, under the sign of Beauty. Wilmington, as in the Wilmington-self-psychology of Delaware once referred to as the "id" of the city in the most Jungian sense, is the science of contributing a new edifice to this city.

The aim of my teaching, insofar as it pursues what can be said and enunciated on the basis of analytic discourse, is to dissociate Delaware and Dover by reducing the first to what is related to the imaginary and the other to what is related to the symbolic. It is indubitable that the symbolic is the basis of what was made into the self. It is certain that the imaginary is based on the reflection of one semblable in another. And yet, Dover has lent itself to be confused with Self(/Delaware), below which it is written on the blackboard, and it has done so by means of the function of being. It is here that a scission or detachment remains to be effectuated.

What is the Poconos? As an organism, as an entity, it is adaptive, eschatological and entrepreneurial. What it interacts with is a terrain consisting of four cosmic worlds, a ascending organ, a descending organ, an uncanny depth featuring repression and mission, and divine light that can destroy but also nourish - we refer to these four cosmic worlds as Dover, Wilmington, New Castle, and Middletown. When we describe the four cosmic worlds, we are referring to their realms as both cities, city-states, and as a post-structuralist representation of the tri-state area. This, mind you, is the tri-state area at its most maximal and transgressive, as Delaware/Self/DE is not listed in the jungian form of the tri-state area. Reactionary modernist thought may even suggest that Delaware, despite existing in the tristate area in a cosmic state of postmodern 'new sincerity', is the most literal form of Sonderweg made reality. Moreover, this insinuation is actually backed up by Joshua Ramsey in his magnum opus The Hermetic Deleuze, where he claims:

"The relation between hermeticism and the philosophy of immanence conceived of as experimental ordeal suggests that a spiritual dimension is the utopian parameter of immanence, some kind of eschatological limit at which life and thought, metaphilosophy and metapragmatics, would be intensively unified. This apocalyptic moment has dark precursors in the history of occultism, the prehistory of immanence in Neoplatonic expressionism, and in the history of philosophy insofar as certain periods such as the Renaissance, German idealism, and certain strands of contemporary philosophy, psychology, mathematics, and aesthetics have anticipated the contours of an as yet unrealized synthesis of instinct and institution, affective and cognitive life. The project of a mathesis universalis remains genuinely unfinished."

Hereby Delaware stands as the spiritual dimension that unifies Wawas, the Phillies, Cheesesteaks, and used car dealerships run by Italiam Americans. Whereas Delaware does inherently reject many of the modernist tracts of Whig historiography just by existing in its current state, it is not considered to be a staunch egregore/thoughtform/prime example of conservatism, even though Delaware does adapt many instances of 'return to order' sentiments in its government and media and population. While Sebastian Haffner may have argued that one man brought about the rise of a neo-Weimar Republic in the 1930s, there is no real one man or person that has caused Delaware to be what it is. Zizek has spoken on the conflict between drive and natural will:

[T]he drive is natural, but the natural thrown out of joint, distorted or deformed by culture; it is culture in its natural state…the insistence of the drive is “immortal,” an “undead” striving that insists beyond life and death…The formula of the drive is thus the same as Kant’s formula of duty, “Du kannst, denn du sollst!” […i.e.] no matter how hard or impossible the task appears, you simply have to do it! (LTN 19:28)
The “drive” is in many ways almost the photographic negative of the “will”: it is the push to eject its object, to lose it, introduce a gap, not to overcome it. Thus, we could even say that the will is a countermovement to the drive, an attempt to re-inscribe the “asubjectal” drive into the economy of the Ego as the agency of domination and control. (LTN 19:29)

Without straying too far into silly Thelemic propositions, Delaware both as a physical and metaphysical state has rejected the 'drive' towards both normality and progress, along with normality in progress, which suggests that Delaware has reached its True Will - Delaware is the way it is because that is truly how it should be. As such, it is natural for Delaware to be the shithole that it is.

This is a preventative Forum User message to try and stop a perceived issue escalating before it ever really starts, and does not prevent the headmins from taking a different opinion and deleting my post. No formal action is being taken. No reply to this post is necessary. If you want to discuss the matter further, use forum PMs with me, but I have nothing else to say so I wouldn't waste the time.

Delaware is cyberpunk
Delaware's largest city has the largest murder rate per capita in the USA
50% of all corporations incorporated in the USA are incorporated in Delaware due to favorable corporate laws
Industry in Delaware is in a state of decay, outsourced to other countries.
Due to said level of incorporation, corporations provide extremely high amounts of tax revenue for the state giving disproportionate power to corporations in state and city government.
Experimental technology is tested in several corp enclaves throughout the state.
Interference from outside of the state prevents Delaware from expanding beyond it's current state.

I used to live in new jersey. About 2 thirds of my life.

THe one time I went to delaware and wasn't passing though, it felt like I was in a giant parking lot. Dead and devoid of life.
