We shouldn't add more implants like this to the game yet. This is mainly because they will almost never see use by antagonists, but almost always get used by security. I believe this is because of the removal of self surgery. Why would a medical doctor ever give an assistant any implant besides buffer feet or photo resistant eyes? They wouldn't. Now, would a medical doctor give the HoS an arm cannon and reinforced torso? Of course he would, why wouldn't he?
Either find a way to make these augments not require surgery somehow or bring back self surgery.
Really liking the implant ideas, though.
I can see where you're coming from. For that very reason, I tried to avoid suggesting things that are outright weapons, even for security. In addition to making a bland system more robust, I feel like adding this would make surgery more important. I've always liked surgery in general, and I feel like it's horribly underutilized in medical. I would go so far as to advocate surgeon being a standalone job if augments like I suggested are implemented. Realistically, I see people mostly getting augments related to their job. Assistants are hardly ever going to get any of these. Assistants never get expensive stuff from science.
