"Tomfoolery" is not good justification for hiding proximity grenades around the station and knocking people out for minutes at a time as a non-antag, i.e. grief.

As someone in the round, in the chat at the time of the ban, a perma is way too harsh. "Because I can" is a horrible reason to ban someone forever because of an IC in OOC comment that could be construed as a coincidence. You know what would help more? A quick ban, or, god forbid, a warning of some ...
