I may have not played the vidya in a while but my station name of "Dead Nigger Storage" was accepted but then yet later forcefully renamed to Lynch Your Captain today. I threw no hissy fit but in the past before provocative station names never drew the Ire of admins, often it is met with BSA. Over all mimic needs loosen up and this warning needs to be stricken, I fear he may even start to police language, hurt feelings? Enjoy a warning/ban.

Aren't station names visible on the hub, or was that fixed after the time someone put the entire bee movie script in there?

Do you see a sign on my server that says dead nigger storage?

Is this entirely noteworthy? Get a sense of humor, adminbus.

A distasteful name would be Black Licorice Storage, this is just lame.

1. You were not banned nor was this noted. It was left as an admin message which is something left for you to see once. Not sure if he meant to leave a note or not but the end result is there is no note.

2. Renaming the station to something dumb generally isn't noteworthy unless someone is trying to abuse something with it. So a warning really was not warranted and I'll let them know it's not needed; though BSAing you can still be warranted. :^)

3. The complaint seems to be more about the fact it was renamed later; likely due to the fact a prompt shows up when you attempt a rename and it auto-approves in a minute unless rejected by an active admin. If there wasn't an active admin or it was ignored for whatever reason then it's not wrong for an admin to forcefully rename the station as we have tools if that happens.

My concern was that station names are visible on the hub, and personally felt it crossed a line from the usual 'ligger' memes.

Just chiming in to say that at the end of the day it all boils down to avoid names which would actively discourage players from joining the server. I don't think dead nigger storage is one of those, we had a captain today who kept naming the station "*his name* has a huge penis", now that's a name that would keep me from joining. It should probably be discussed in policy though

If a pubbie gets scared off that easy I doubt they'll be able to handle people running around ingame yelling faggot and nigger at each other.

On-topic though if there wasn't a note then there's no need for a complaint. Mimic is perfectly allowed to complain about the name and rename it and perhaps blow up the captain for doing it, those are the rules of the game we play. Giving him a note or banning him from captain would be 100% too much though.

Meme names have always been up for rejection/changing, regardless of how long the round has went.
