so i got some shit done in dream maker.
i looked at the wiki and the two pages that address merging have opposite information

pls explain how to set it up so i can start making pull requests in the most simplistic way possible.

There's only one wiki page about the map merger and it has what I'd call pretty simple instructions. What did you have trouble with?
