I think we could use a few more regular shuttles and less gag-shuttles, but I think they're a lot of fun!
I'd be willing to make some more if you have any ideas.

It's fun, but sorta sucks when people besides the captain (HoP) get to the console and order one that noone wants. Should be the ability to refund them for 80% of the original cost- or in the case of the shuttles where NT pays you, you have to pay 120% of what you received for using it. I especially like the one with the statue that changes you and the luxury shuttle. (luxury shuttle shouldn't be able to be cheesed with beacons) I think there's a prisoner transport shuttle, can't remember tbh, but that shuttle should have full brig flooring except the cockpit.

We actually have quite a few non-gag shuttles, but they're generally not worth spending points on since they more or less function the game.
Though I agree more subtle gimmicks like the bar shuttle having a bardrone would be good, not everything needs to be like the asteroid.

should be noted that asteroid shuttle on box clips well over half of chapel and such, kills anyone near there. probably a bug but still

Shuttles are fun.
Ideas:
Syndie or wizard shuttle, minus antag items(?)
Sleeper shuttle/Ark - you go in, shuttle full of sleepers, no air. Sleeper is locked either on launch or when it takes off to Centcomm. Heads get fancier area. Air drains from shuttle after you launch, so you can't just mill around.
Hologram shuttle? Might not work.

They're great but really need the option to change after it's been selected
Most of the time it's some greytider with all access buying some shitty shuttle on purpose to fuck the crew and then it can't be changed

Nearly every round I've played in. I only saw a different shuttle bought once. Also, shuttle list really could use a better interface.

Oh, it would also be nice if it was clearer which purchase button purchases which shuttle for dumb people like me. Maybe lines seperating the shuttle descrip/purchase button into a box for each shuttle.

There's like a good window with a warning that it's gonna dock.
This is just like that pr that wanted to enable emergency maintenance access automatically during radstorms. Only thing it does is hold the hand of the players rather than add obstacles that only become troublesome due to negligence.

Give them a credit_cost and a credit_minimum so if you do no work on the station at all, your options are the terrible negative-price ones.
(Credit minimum? Maybe a credits_earned so someone can't blow the entire cargo point allowance to force a shit shuttle, but _can_ bomb the cargo bay at roundstart or something to prevent anyone shipping plasma back to central)
That way the asteroid shuttle could be literally the captain's only option if cargo hasn't been shipping shit, so it'll still see some use beyond "lol I'm a nonantag and I'm going to call the meme shuttle"
tl;dr the standard shuttle won't take anything out of your budget, but NT will give you the finger if you ask for it before you've put the hours in

Pure bananaium everything. Large shuttle, not size of the astroid with rockets large, but like twice the size of the normal shuttle and like everything is made to be as expensive as fucking possible to be like. We are drowning in virtual cash. With like rare artefacts in showcases like a Lamarr or a antique gun (fake) and some hi tech gun (fake) and some cool shit and whatnot. Like the end all be all im rich mother fucker type of shuttle.

Why not just do this? In the tab which shows what map it is, it also shows what the current shuttle which will come is. And then also add party lights to Escape if its a destructive shuttle. Then you merely weed out the idiots.

Your character will frequently die, sometimes without even a possibility of avoiding it. Events will often be out of your control. No matter how good or prepared you are, sometimes you just lose.

I would also be fine with just having a random shuttle each round, so people stop whining about other "people" ruining their fun.

Yeah that's what happens when captain buys the shuttle at round start, then the round goes on for a couple hours and by the time the shuttle is called everyone has forgotten it was the asteroid one. I was in deep red health and hardsuit, so no real chance to leave the area in 10 seconds, but still it would be nice to have a notification when shuttle is called to remind people what kind of shuttle has been bought, would help with the luxury one too.
