Sally didn't look in Anne's Box for the marble

Something that comes up a lot is people getting banned/in trouble/yelled at for stuff they didn't know at the time, like that guy killing the clown outside the bridge was actually the HoS in Captain's Gear after having declared himself the new captain with no reason given, after said captain called out about traitors killing him in the bridge a few minutes prior.
Should you expect players to know everything about a situation?

You can't ever 100% know and memorize every single variable

You mean like murdering and spacing someone who tried to defuse a bomb that got dropped in front of them?
Sheesh Shaps, I expected better when I voted for you.
Since when have we required people to INQUIRE FURTHER? Our ruling has always been "Act like an antag, get treated like an antag". My issue with the bomb incident was that you thought it was OK to SPACE SOMEONE without knowing the full incident, now less than 24 hours later you do a 180 and claim that you can't even use sub-lethal force on someone without knowing the full incident despite the fact that the individual being acted against DELIBERATELY kept everyone else in the dark about their motivations. These are some of the shittiest decisions I've seen since we had Brotemis/SoS with ban powers - hell you even included the bit about the Nukeops in my ban note even though that was 100% irrelevant to my actions.
Stripping the clown naked and hacking his limbs off is more ANTAG than what most ANTAGS would even do. If someone doesn't want to be attacking for punishing people you can 1) punish them humanely and/or 2) do it in the brig outside of public view. It feels absurdly ban-baity to let someone publicly mutilate people and then ban the attackers.
Gamarr (An ID-less masked dude) killed me as a few days ago for walking around with a fireaxe, he started disarming me, I hit him with the axe a few times, I got killed and then he camped cloning and killed me again. He sure as hell didn't inquire about anything, yet I got told "IC issue".

You will very rarely, if ever, have full information on something that is happening. I still firmly believe this is a game about misinformation and not knowing everything. Banning people for not knowning x, y, and z doesn't sit well with me.
