STUPIDITY ALERT
Its kind of like metagaming but in a less immersion breaking way
and a lot more complicated


Let the chaplain perform a seance.


NOTE:
only ever do this if a someone is
past the point of ever coming back to life or
their brain is missing

Requirements

. 4 candles
. ID of the dead person
. a crayon
. CHAPLAINS holy book (not the other bibles)
Optional:
. Living human sacrifice

step 1:
place 4 candles like this

O X O

step 2:
Take ID
place the ID and holy book
in the center of the candles

step 3:
draw rune
inside the candles
then to start process
light all 4 candles

step 4:
If the spirit has
not manifested yet
move your live sacrifice
inside the candles

step 5:
by now the spirit should have manifested
If nothing appears then the soul of the
deceased has left the realm
and you should just clean up

step 6:
If all goes according to plan
a spirit should be visible above the rune
you may now speak with the spirit for 30 seconds before it dissipates
the spirit may tell you about the afterlife
how they died or who killed them
At this point if you have brought a living human sacrifice
the spirit can interact with his body, posses the sacrifice,
and take over their life.
WARNING: don't enter the ring
or the ghost can posses YOU.
thats what the sacrifice was for.

step 7:
Use the information to
catch the killer
or discover much darker things
such as who is gang leader?
where is cult?
and why theres a xeno
in caps office?

step 8:
once you have your info the spirit will
disappear and the holy book will be
gone, or if you had a human sacrifice he will
go on living his new life as someone else
but the book will still be gone

REASONS THIS IS GOOD
> gives a reason to stay in game while dead even without spawners
> A more immersive way to metagame
> help aid the station

REASONS THIS CAN BE BAD
> possibly using this round start to find out the antag :\


THIS IS ONLY ABLE TO BE DONE ONCE PER ROUND
because the chaplains bible will be destroyed
after the seance is complete

but I'm refering to the one that the chaplain is able to change the look of and store things inside.

The librarian can print holy books that are identical to the round-start one- they will change to match the chaplain's customizable book.

Make the chaplain use his null rod/holy weapon instead.

That was actually one of my ideas before I changed it to the book
which was before I knew the librarian can print them.
so yeah null rod.

I miss being able to use my ouija boards (not the in-game item).

When ghosts could spin chairs, I'd set up a singular chair in the chapel, then use it to answer yes or no questions about the dead. Then chairspinning was removed because... metagaming, I guess?
