CID randomizer ban.

Post Content:What is CID randomizer, why was i banned for that

Byond account and character name: Shadowbobafeet/Nichollas Rattman

Banning admin: Don't remember

Ban type (What are you banned from?): Perma ?

Ban reason and length: CID randomizer, probably perma.

Time ban was placed (including time zone):25/06/2016 between 9.00AM and 11.00AM Lisbon

Your side of the story: I was playing, and because of a little confusion with another person in the game, the admin was talking with me about the situation, when i was banned from CID randomizer, wich i don't know what it is, or has something to do that i have a brother in the same internet that plays the game, i saw other posts bans and is something about using multiple"keys ??"

Why you think you should be unbanned: I haven't done anything wrong if i can remember, but if i did im sorry, but i really don't know if its about the 2 computers in the same internet.

sry even the post sends that to my face =( , ill read posts more often now.

I really think we should make it so that trying to post in the ban appeals forum causes a popup that says something like DID YOU GET A RANDOM UNPROVOKED BAN FOR CID RANDOMIZATION OR BAN EVASION? READ THIS LINK BEFORE APPEALING just to prevent all the god damn spam as of late

The stickyban system is an ancient and eldritch machine, none fully understand its inner workings and it must be fed the bans of a thousand shitters per day to be sustained.

It's probably one of those issues that coders refuse to fix on some kind of deluded principle.

I've suggested a fix, but was told no for reasons.

Stickyban is a BYOND thing, not something you can just download the code and change. Anyway, thread resolved.
