Ban reason and length: "Bombed the brig in an attempt to kill an officer who had arrested them 'for no reason'", 2 days
Time ban was placed (including time zone): 6:40 PM (EST)
Your side of the story: So I had become trapped in the airlock to enter security. I followed someone in there and the door shut behind us. I was trying to open the door to get out. It turns out, at the same time, that several people were being put in the brig. They must have started a fight or something. Anyway, the captain and a security officer opened up the doors and stunned the two of us inside. The other person was taken by the captain, and the security guard cuffed and took me. It was at this point, I realized that I had a bomb in my backpack. I was going to blow it up at around end, but the security would definitely jail me for having it. I knew it was well below maxcap, and so I figured I would use it as a last resort. I warned him, I said we're both gonna die if you don't let me go. He replied by urging me to do it. He slipped on a banana and I ran to the corner, away from everyone else. He came over and grabbed me. I warned him again, and he didn't respond. I counted the tiles away from the nearest person, and they were out of the blast range, so I triggered the bomb by voice. We died and there was a hole in the brig a few tiles across. A robot came and sealed up the floor within twenty seconds.
Why you think you should be unbanned: There was very little damage to the brig and the station. Only myself and the target died. I was well aware that it would be a small detonation and was below the cap. I was not going to go to jail for up to ten minutes, or even perma, for what started as a random arrest. The captain was killed in the chaos by one of the prisoners, but this was not my fault. Perhaps I somewhat overrated, but a two day ban is even more of an overreaction and this ban at least deserves to be reduced. When I am unbanned, I will have learned my lesson and I will make sure not to use any more bombs in such a manner unless I am an antagonist.
