Give them the ability to fly in no-grav, BUT their limbs are weak as hell and can be decapitated in like 1/3 of the hits required.

I actually really like bringing a flying mechanic AND a dismemberment thing. Someone is making a wings thing on github, they could use that. And, of course, ripping off the wings should be easy.

They should be like the movie in that they lose limbs really easily but they can live without them.

They should also be slow.

Maybe make their creation have a chance of removing one limb at random, so you fuck up and now you've lost your left leg.

Clone as maggots, have to grow into flypeople again if they're resurrected.

but Brundlefly Junior was like way more powerful than regular Brundlefly because his DNA was more stable or something.

Maybe they lose their limbs but have the ability to slowly grow them back, even though it starves them while they do?

I like this idea. We don't need a bunch of races that are essentially identical to human, Human and Lizard is enough. Other races should have significant and flavorful weaknesses. Like plasmamen needing the suit and being almost impossible to clone.

Attraction to light: When you walk within 2 tiles of a lightbulb there's a chance you stumble towards it, like the confusion debuff movement from lube/drunk.

'cloning error, DNA corrupt' flies take half as long to clone, but pop out as maggots because of their corrupted DNA the machine throws a hissy fit halfway through the process.
