TERRIBLE FUCKING LAG

This can't be just me, for some fucked up reason ever since the domain problem thing there's been very frequent moments where I can't move at fucking all let alone speak. This is really starting to piss me off because I can see people move and talk just fine, I reinstalled byond and this shit is still happening and I'm plugged right into my modem.

these threads would be more useful if you actually did some diagnosis to rule out you having a shit network
ping graphs, traceroutes
any literal hard evidence that would rule out network lag from anywhere but the server.

log onto basil. where over a third of the people online all keep getting d/c'd every thirty seconds and it's unplayable

At least when you are playing sec you can generally assume your foe will experience some lag too. As opposed to lava creatures who will kill the shit out of you as you mash keys on your keyboard, DC, *cry, and then log back in to your corpse.

I dont see what this has to do with the Problem at hand. Lag is lag, and its bad. Anyways, Ive noticed that Bagil has more lagrelated disconnects than Sybil. Anyone else here under this impression?

I know this is an old post but if anyone still feels this way, log in and ask in OOC how many people have been having connection problems - it can get to the point of being unplayable at times

So did anyone work out why this still happens?
Basil's got some tasty 5 second lagspikes once a minute or so, disconnect every few minutes, largely unplayable right now.

Lag isn't fixed, but it should be much less common now.
So far my long term network profiles confirm a significant reduction in delayed or dropped traffic.

Lag is officially fixed, we just hit 24 hours with no dropped or delayed packets. (checking twice a second from a server on the other side of the us)
