Why do Hindu gods not answer my prayers?

Friends please , my problem is very difficult. I am a hardcore Roger Federer fan, infact I am a fanatic . Please read my entire question,it may be long, but I really need help from this depression . You all know last year how Federer lost to Djokovic in the Wimbledon 2015 final, I was heart broken, I went into depression for weeks. Throughout the 2 week duration of Wimbledon, I had fasted all day, and on that saturday and sunday throughout, I just drank water, did not even have a morsel of food, I was praying for Federer throughout the time. I visited 5 temples, did Aarti in all in Federer's name, I prayed ferverently, hopefully, desperately, I pleaded with God, I cried with god, I fell at his feet, still he disappointed me and broke my heart. I still cannot get over it, whenever I hear the word Wimbledon or Grass,it reminds me only this 1 particular match , which makes me cry bitterly, I cannot focus at work place. Why are our Gods like this ? Why does he break my heart ?
I am from Tamil Nadu, recently I was having a conversation with a Muslim friend of mine, pls dont call him Anti Hindu etc,but some of the points he raised are valid, and which made me question our Gods.
1. They said Hindu was all over the world before Islam,Christianity came, so if that is the case, then why we dont hear of any Hindu mythology stories from say, current day America,Africa,Russia etc?Why all Hindu gods are concentrated in Indian area. Farthest I know was Shakuni ( Mahabharata) from current day Afghanistan.
2. Our gods, say Ram or Krishna could not even protect their own places of worship in Ayodhya and Mathura,Somnath etc from invaders, how can they protect their followers, worshippers ? It is really intriguing me now about all this.
3. They say there are nearly 33 crore gods, demi gods all put together in Hinduism, if NOT 1 of them answers your prayers nor protects you or helps you, dont you think this religion maybe fake or false?
Please request not to abuse, I am going through an internal churning in myself and also getting depressed all the time thinking of Federer's loss which makes me cry all the time, please help me. I am losing faith in Hindu gods,do they actually listen to our prayers or are they false? Which Hindu god prayer actually works ?
EDIT : Well, Federer lost to Gael Monfils in Monte Carlo Masters today ! A player he used to have in his pocket a few years back, bad bad sad sad
