Chew Dat Bubblegum

I think there should be gum available on the station, which you can place in the mask slot. It would cause a little animation of bubbles to be blown. As you chew the gum, it would eventually lose flavor and the bubble would lose color. There would be nicotine infused gum hackable out of the vending machines for those who want the nicotine bonus without hurting their lungs or being a fire hazard. Hitting someone in the mouth while they are chewing gum caused the gum to pop all over their face. Taking a chewed piece of gum and sticking it to the floor allows you to stick an object to it, hiding the gum and if someone tries to pick up the object, they fail unless they use a crowbar to pull it up. You can infuse your gum with chemicals to be delivered as you chew. It should be available in different colors/flavors. I think this would be a good addition to the station.

That seems to be too much. Unless it's only visual, I always assume it ain't.

It would be visual, it wouldn't like, cause them to suffocate to death or anything, that would be silly.

So this seems to be blatantly superior to cigarettes. Especially using it infused with healing meds seems to be much easier than doing it with smokes where you need to fiddle with lighter and stuff.

Why don't you want both things to be useful? Why do you support chewable powercreep?

you gotta individually unwrap every piece of gum though, lumbermancer.

Make it dry out and hurt your teeth like popcorn kernels when unwrapped for too long.

But Duke isn't chewing bubblegum. He's specifically turned it up to 11 because he's run out of it.

Only if we can simulate it resting in our bowels for 7 years to turn into a blob and being told off by the AI because it perceives flicking or using it to stick things to people (kick me signs anyone? why has no one suggested blue-tac) is harmful in application.
> Mutagen bubblegum - Eat and become a blobbernaught because in soviet russia, gum eats you from inside out.

You gotta be able to put gum on security cameras to blind them until someone scrapes it off.

Chemistry's machines can make pills, bottle, and pieces of gum. R&D can upgrade the machine to be able to make Bubble Tape. It can contain a much larger amount of chems, takes up 1 inventory slot, and when used will dispense 1 piece of gum with a proportional amount of chems. Maybe 1 piece of gum could have 25 units max, Bubble Tape could have 250 units with 10 uses or something.
Kick Me Signs
Piece of Paper + gum. Other players can see that you have a sign on your back when they inspect you but you can't. If you take your jumpsuit off(or put one on if you weren't wearing one and it's on your back) and it falls off. If you inspect someone while adjacent there would be a link in their description, kinda like the SecHUD link to set arrest status, that would allow you to view the paper.
Bonus points for putting "I'm a syndicate traitor" on a traitor's back without him noticing, then sec sees it.
Extra traitor objective - Stick a sign on the back of a specific person, head of staff maybe, that includes some prescribed text: "I'm a faggot" "Nanotrasen is Harm!" etc. It would be on top of a keep X player alive objective, they would have to arrive at centcomm alive with the sign on their back.

It might not even need a sprite outside of a little colored circle. It's gonna be entirely in your mouth afterall, eventually losing flavor/chems so you have to take it out and put it in the trash.

You'd need a system where the gum could somehow be placed in a shoe's contents by them stepping on the gum, and a way to remove the gum from the shoe so that you wouldn't have slowdown forever

it should be an animated bubble though cuz it's bubblegum not just regular chewy gum
also the color should fade as it loses flavor

The fading color thing sounds like a coding issue, and no way am I able to tackle coding yet. But now that I've learned how the fuck git works, spriting can be my next challenge.
How many different frames of a blowing bubble, including post-popping, should I make here? And other than the chewing animation, I'm thinking I'll need an unwrapped stick, a wrapped stick, a pack, and a little blob for when it's on the floor. Is that about right?
it's time for babby's first spriting

The rolling paper pack would probably make a good base for a pack of gum sprite
