Customizable Heads of Staff Pets

So, you can set a lot in your character information - Chaplain religion, clown name, and so on.
I propose customizable head of staff pets. For example, if I'm playing a roundstart HOP, I could set 'Ian' to be a Crab named 'Slowmo' or if playing Captain, 'Renault' to a Pug named 'Dorothy' or something. Put it in the character setup options.
If you're a late join, you have the default pet, of course.
Also: The pet should retain its AI. IE: 'Poly' should keep screeching nonsense, even if its a pig named Oinkers.

Ian should have an array of roundstart exclusive dog hats or jackets instead.

Besides I don't think the Captain has Renault in box, neither does the HoS with his spider.

RD needs a better pet than Lamarr. It seems likely that the RD will be left in the dust with the current pet enhancement wave. Ian is already the coolest pet by way of being able to dress him. Poly has transcended timelines with his ability to remember lines from previous rounds, AND gets a ghost form. Runtime is able to drown the CMO in [CENSORED] if another cat was present in the previous round. Renault will probably be next, and I imagine the HoS' pet might become a weapon again.
But, where can you go with Lamarr? He is not even a mob, but an item!

Stop Lamarr covering eyesight when used as internals, so RDs have an incentive to walk around with a facehugger covering their face.

You can always have Lamarr grow into an adult strong xeno over the course of several rounds. If he dies, it's back to baby Lamarr.

Well, let's see.
Ian only needs customisable clothing (and if it doesn't, armour really should do something for him.)
Renault and Araneus can be replaced.
Uncertain about Runtime.
Lamarr has it rough, I guess.
Poly - she should have the option of being replaced by sweet fucking silence.

Why not to compliment the head of staff fixture, all interchangeable pets start off in pet boxes/kennels. All the fixed in ones like ian get little lockers.
Swapping Lamarr out for something radical like a goliath egg sounds more fun, as a kind of side-objective for the RD to hatch it, with perhaps interchangeable species of alien (*cough**cough* or a better kind of xenobiology that doesn't revolve around grinding slimes but more about finding out shit a bit like R&D about aliens with xenomorphs being top subjects *cough**cough*)
