since the chaplins weapon can be changed now his armor should also be able to be changed

i suggest a simon belmont armor for the whip and a UAC marine armor for the chainsaw so i can rip and tear

This has been requested a few times but I feel like I've already crossed several lines with all the zany swords he has now.

I don't know of any player who actively dislikes the chaplain weapons

Except for maybe Fox McCloud but that's because of how many features he bases off of us and having a more advanced medical system, so more brute = more organ damage and makes sense.

I already requested it of Kor. You might as well keep at it, Kor, you have crossed the line and cannot return. You do not have to make more BALANCE stuff, you could even take all of the Chaplain's current stuff and child it from the knight armor.

Even as a joke that still sounds interesting.

That actually does sound like it'd be fun, minus the lavaland dropping. Though I have a feeling that it would get really old really fast.

It'd be a very tricky balancing act rules wise. Self-antag Holy war every round would be boring, but heavy rules that restrict cults to just sitting about in the chapel doodling and yelling would also be boring.

Would probably be as much work writing functioning escalation rules governing cults as it would be coding them.

Just give them voluntary, limited in number conversion, no antag status, boom badda it's good.

They're back to doodling on the floor then, which they can do now. They'd need some sort of relaxed permission to use violence if security tried to shut them down, or to attack the other cult, or something. Maybe pseudo-antag with bizzare objectives like abductees.

Doodling can be fun, maybe objectives like "convert" a certain amount of tiles on the station to cultiness. Kind like the Goon dark ritual the wizard has but less severe and less AOE. If they were antags it'd be the worst because they'd spam stunpaper, self-antag and go on massive murder sprees every round and just be shits with runes everywhere because the only person that could deal with said runes is the chaplain.

I tend to stash it in my pack until I can set up a sacrifice.

Cosmetic. You do not have to do any fancy mechanics like you did with the weapons. Just cosmetic versions of the armor. Armored robes, pope-like outfit, etc. That is all I am requesting. No balance changes. Alt-click your armor to change your appearance, like the weapons.

I'm going to use this thread to ask why the hastur robe was removed from the chaplain closet.

I dunno, I kind of like the mechanical disadvantage of using the emo hoodie or my jesus robes when I'm chaplain. Something about being unarmored with white robes and sandals is really satisfying. It does seem kind of weird that the chaplain, who is literally just a priest that NT probably included on-station for political correctness, starts with armor as well as his reasonably robust armor. I say remove the protective abilities of the crusader armor and include more outfits in the chaplain's closet. Too often have I seen antag chaplains choose crusader armor and whatever that fire hand thing is.

Well I mean chaplains are pretty relevant with cult and revenants and (haha) hand of God
