Banning admin:No clue at all, probably host, just says 'Access denied.'
Ban type (What are you banned from?):Both servers
Ban reason and length:Probably permanent, seems like a stickyban, no reason, just 'access denied'
Time ban was placed (including time zone):Again, no clue
Your side of the story:So basically last night I tried to log onto /tg/ and I can't connect.

And then I tried again this morning and I can't connect. Same message of just 'Access denied'
Why you think you should be unbanned: I think this is a mistake?

I do suspect what happened, though.

There was that whole circulating message going around to different servers about ban evading griefteams with a whole list of accounts and one password for all of them.

I tried out one of the accounts, saw it worked, logged out and went back to my account.

I've been playing on /tg/ for a while, haven't really caused any issues, talked in OOC a few times, maybe one person knows me for inane OOC commentary.

If you're wondering on how I got the info about the multiple accounts- mod on yog, was posted in admin skype chat, tested out an account to see if it actually worked, and I'm guessing if you guys got that same message and stickybanned all relating accounts I also got caught up in it and am now stickybanned.

So uh, assuming this is actually a stickyban of some sort caused by me being related to those accounts by logging in one as a test, and not just a clientside bug, i'd hope that you'd A. Actually believe me and B. Remove the stickyban so I can go back to being unobtrusive, trying to be helpful and dying within the first 5 minutes.

Strange because that particular ban was fixed, you're not listed as blocked anywhere in our server.

I have no alternate accounts whatsoever.

I logged onto that one account that was provided in that whole list of multikeying accounts given to yogs-and presumably to /tg/-with the provided password to check if it worked. Once.

I have never created nor used an alternate account and I only log in from this computer and as far as I know my IP is static, not dynamic.

you will have to contact byond to get the link reversed, as i can't exempt you without removing the entire sticky ban (and all matches)

I talked to Lummox of byond staff and he unlink the accounts, but he wants me to stress a few things. (mostly paraphrased by me)

This was not easy to undo, it had to be done by manually editing the login records in the database and forcing a refresh

Logging into somebody elses account, (especially one likely to be used by ban evaders/griefers) is fucking stupid (because of cases like this)

He has no intention of making this a habit. (Next person who needs this done will likely be told tough luck) (and we at /tg/station have no plans of removing this sticky ban)

Heed the warning above and don't login to banned accounts (or anyone else's accounts in general), case closed.
