boobytrapped traitor items

Originally posted this as a minor suggestion but it's probably not so minor after all.

Was wondering about the idea of adding relatively cheap metabreaking traitor items for the sole purpose of countering the stunprod-wielding-assistant stripping random people and looking for tatorstuff, like "oh, you have a gasmask, let's see if it's really a voicechanger" and so on, or people seeing traitor gear as free loot to just use.

I'm talking stuff like a gas mask that can't be removed by the wearer and prevents breathing. Nightvision mesons that instead of granting you nightvision, just blind you. An emag that just causes the user to get shocked by whatever they were trying to emag. A revolver that will backfire. A backwards esword that stabs the user in the chest and embeds when they try to turn it on. That sort of thing.

Basically just copies of the items in the uplink that a traitor can fling in their pack to ruin the day of anyone who tries searching them and looting their stuff. Who knows, maybe you'll get out of your cablecuffs while stunprod mcgee blindly stumbles around with your goggles on his face and stove his head in with a fire extinguisher.

I like it.
Maybe a separate 1-2tc rigger to use on your gear to trap it like that.

Also an interesting way to do it. Was originally thinking of just actually-useless items rather than tators being able to get the real gear, use it for objective, and then boobytrap it, but either would be interesting.

One issue I can see coming up is people forcing suspected tators to put masks and things on to see if they're trapped (or traitors forcing the trapped items onto people, but really if an antag's got you in the position where they can force a mask onto your face and wait for you to suffocate you're as good as dead anyway), and then testing them for voicechanger etc if they don't die. Link the trapped stuff to the person that trapped it somehow?

Make it an item available for everyone to make. Like tablecrafting a mouse trap a signaller and some cable coils. The next person to touch it after it gets slapped onto an item causes that item to activate on them, causing eswords to stab them, revolvers to shoot them, grenades to explode, etc.

Basically a more precise mouse trap trigger that scientists use in their backpacks to rig them to explode.
