I'm cautiously optimistic, I love me some 40k and big space fights are right up my alley.

Mite b cool

Typically the less GW advertises a video game, the better it is.

Have they been building up a huge internet marketing hype train and showing off dev diaries?
It's going to be shit.

Did they just crap it onto the market suddenly without any kind of fanfare or warning?
It could actually be fun.

the more i hear about it the less i like it

most of the systems i've heard any details about don't seem well thought out, which is really fucking weird because i mean how hard is it to design a battlefleet gothic game

battlefleet gothic is one of the best designed tabletop wargames i know of, so all you do is literally copy the mechanics of BFG

apparently though there's like microteleports in the game or something like what the fuck is that

Why don't you trust Totalbiscuit? He's pretty reputable in my experience.

Could it a be?
A wh40k game that doesn't feature the Ultra Smurfs or spessul snowflake Blood Ravens?

Big dude marine at the table of pain appears to be from the Flame Eagles chapter:
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Flame_Eagles

Though judging by the stub article on lexicanum they're complete nobodies.

The only reference to the Space Marines is that as a Imperial player you can assign a ship a favour from one of four imperial factions, the Inquisition, the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Imperial Navy and the Adeptus Astartes. If you pick the Astartes you can replace your boarding parties with Space Marine's and Terminator Lightning Strikes.

Actually I'm mistaken, there's a shot from above the table and its the marine as the badge of the Imperial Fists, I'd forgotten the codex following chapters have different trims for each company.

I heard that the Space Marines were free to anyone who buys the game at least six months after launch.

inb4 Space Marines are just a retextured variant of the Imperial Navy.

They will be, because thanks to Ultrasmurfs the Space Marines aren't allowed a big navy.
Their ships are basically troop ships, so their unique weapons are only useful for planetary assaults.

So most likely a fleet based off of boarding the enemy ships akin to the Orks.

Wait really? I thought space marines had thier own patterns of battleships, and they tended to be smaller than imperial navy ships while being just as powerful because muh angels of death

They have battle barges, which yes do have a lot of... everything, but they don't have nova cannons from what I've read.

marines are pretty trash in space, by design as the imperium wanted to make sure they couldn't fuck over everyone in space and on the ground like in the heresy.

they have battle barges which have fantastic armor & weaponry, but everything else they have is pretty mediocre.

they rely on boarding and strike craft afaik

Passed on this at first, but it looks pretty interesting now that I've seen more of it.

It kinda just makes me want to play more Silent Hunter though.

Yea. I can't seem to maneuver them well.

Funny enough my favourite ships to fly were Orks.

Uhhhrrggg

For some reason this game was a lot more fun in the prerelease beta.

I'm trying to finish the campaign for only the sake of completion, it's just not fun.
Every mission is the same one of about four types.

And why is there only like two songs in the sound track?
