I prefer people vaping over actual smoking just because it smells better if you're stuck in the same place they are.

Wellyeah, I don't actually mind the smell of people vaping at all and it's far, far preferable to being stuck in a confine space with straight-up smokers.

Smoking's been banned in enclosed public places for years now in scotland which has done wonders for my ability to go out to the pub without coming home reeking like an ashtray.
Hilariously my office at the time already had a smoking shelter outside the building but because the legislation defined anything with at least three complete walls and a roof as "inside" they had to take a section of one of the walls out 'cause otherwise you couldn't legally smoke in the smoking shelter

I quit smoking regularly. Every once in a while I'll buy a pack of cigarettes when I feel like I'd enjoy some. I'll smoke randomly one or two cigarettes a day. Last night was New Year's Eve party and I smoked a few, maybe five or so? Today I don't feel like smoking any, probably wont want another one for at least a few days.

Vapes are kinda cool because they create less litter and are supposedly more cost effective for the user. Medical studies haven't been conducted enough to determine whether they are actually any healthier for you than plain old smoking. Inhaling/exhaling a ton of heated water-vapor is a neat vector for bacteria and disease. I don't care whether it's actual smoke or not you're a fucking asshole if you use one of these indoors around other people. Anyone else should be allowed to spray whatever scented bullshit or deodorant on you if you think it's okay to puff this crap out in an enclosed space around others.

they smell less shit than cigarettes so I'm all for it for the occasional time when I have to be near social smokers.

Unfortunately Diacetyl (Butanedione if you wanna be systematic) which is used to make things butter flavoured (and thus used in majority if not all of flavourings) causes obstructive bronchitis. So I mean you won't die of emphysema or cancer but yeah...

If you vape it's basically letting everyone near you know you're not worth talking to.
