Local/area OOC (LOOC)

How about... if we had Bay's LOOC? It's like OOC (in that it's not IC), but it only broadcasts to people nearby. Anyone can use it - including ghosts.
Why do we need it?:
"But Night, what if people metagame and tell Sec where their killer was after they die?"
That's why it's logged, and why the 'mins can see it. Bwoink.

Mixed feelings
I've played a lot (Bay and Lifeweb) with LOOC, I think it's good but... I don't know if it would be a good addition to /tg/

Ruins immersion every time it's used and encourages metabuddying.

immersions is not a valid argument for this being a bad thing, go away
and encourages metabuddying.
this could be an issue though, however

LOOC is just going to be used by asspained people bitching about how much their behind has been damaged.
No thanks, I don't want to hear WOOOOOOW every time I kill someone.

To add to this, if you think ikky is exagerating, read the Baystation equivalent of the "stories of awesome/rage and regret". Half the stories involve LOOC bitching

What if ghost's can not use it? (They can just ask their questions in death chat like they always have done.) If you don't want metabuddies, just make sure people know LOOC is only meant for questions about the game.
But really, a better alternative is to have a whitelisted mentor position people can talk to during the game. Or, even better, just ahelp.

That could be fixed if it's the biggest problem with bracket speak
