This is something where you should use words and authority before getting physical.

Why should this appeal be accepted?: I initially shove the scientist as I'm in the middle of printing parts, once, because he was messing with the menus and stopping me from being able to use the machine I was at before him. After about 15 seconds he then starts trying to shove stun me against the wall, and even after I baton him tries to continue to attempt to disarm me of the baton and take it himself. After I stamcrit him I punch him twice for doing this. He then attacks me AGAIN, this time attempting and failing to tableslam me, and after I stamcrit him yet again, I decide he definitely isn't going to stop doing this without some sort of consequence. Being the acting captain and there being one(or less if they latejoined, I looked at manifest later in the ahelps) security member, I cuff him and go to take him to the brig, but instead decide to just search him and knot his shoelaces instead, a far lesser punishment.

This note needs at minimum a modification due to the fact that I was told the attempted tableslamming "wasn't factual" because he didn't actually succeed in tableslamming me. According to the logs, he grabbed me into aggressive grab on a table, then proceeded to flip the table over. I don't think there is anyone who actually believes that was what he was trying to do. Or it needs to be removed entirely because that had been part of the escalation and was not considered to be, despite it being the entire reason why I escalated to cuffing him. "After a short fight where the scientist just shoves them" is the particular part that I really disagree with.
