Your favourite round?

Post by TheRex9001 » #774979

I'm kinda surprised nobody has asked this yet, since it can tell you a whole lot about a candidate, but:

What is your favourite round of ss13? And what made that round so good?

Me personally, I change my answer so often to this, but I had this one bartending shift on nebulastation where the admins were spawning Ned Flanders in and all around mayhem was occurring BUT the bar was relatively untouched, so it became kinda a safe haven and I ended up having a ton of conversations with people over just the general happenings of the station and the fermented drinks I'd made. Overall I think what made it enjoyable was having a sorta eye of the storm experience, usually I'm playing AI and observing all of this random chaos go down and talking to people over the radio, so the experience of just being in a zone of calm whilst the entire station went to shit was enjoyable, I got to interact with people less transactional too and spin up some fun improv. Just a good time.

My favorite shift was me being Head of Security with Vents as detective, and we were investigating where bradley howard a officer dissapeared to till suddenly a paradox clone of me appeared. later that clone approached me and said look what i found it was a ballastic gun, they shot me up with now i've died vents brought me to medbay and auctally solved the case with the paradox hos about bradley(already more then i did the whole shift) so eventually shuttle hets called i get revived so i tried making amends with meself so when i tried to go to the shuttle i got stopped by the paradox and we ended up fighting i managed to take him down cuffed them and brought them to the shuttle brig, then vents had the idea to decide who was the real hos by putting a simplemob rabbit down and whoever they walked to it was the real one, the rabbit walked towards the paradox they got uncuffed and then the paradox killed me.

I could immediatly have killed the paradox clone at first encounter but it was just way more to let it play out ending in a hillarious situation (all on terry btw)
The future is horrible!

I have too many to pick from honestly. So many great moments I probably don't even remember. One that comes to mind was a Green or Blue shift on Delta. I dont remember which it was. I was the Warden and Jeff Gaiman was the HOS. It was just us two as security. I had an idea for a gimmick in my back pocket for a while and decided this was the round to do it when I saw the psychologist on the manifest. The HOS and I turned the "re-education room" into a class room with desks and art supplies. We managed to rope in the psychologist as a teacher. Anybody that got arrested got taken for re-education. One person screamed for the ai after they heard we were going to re educate them. So it was really funny with the ai showed up and it was just a class room. We managed to successfully re-educate somebody for jay-walking in the end so it was a grand success.

The ol' sec jumpscare technique went hard (I was the cat officer at the top)
Sec with ppl willing to talk to you and work together is always fun. I RP a medieval talking character speaking in 'Doth's and 'Thou's and 'Thy's and stuff and I got to fight a dragon which was very thematic.
Eventually the heretic came back as a centcom intern and nuked some post-win revs with a legally acquired maxcap which was pretty awesome.
